Latvia really let him down. Unbelievable really especially after how he carried them in Eurobasket.

I thought it was Peiner's free throw technique that carried our team.

doesn't this lower his salary like from the D Rose rule or something like that?

if so, good.

He doesn’t deserve to be an All Star this season. Hope this humbled him some and keeps him working hard on his weaknesses.

He is still going to be in an all-star game tbh.
Celtics fan.
We also face the Kings twice in the near future. I think it's time Yabu pays back some of that free money he's been given his entire career and bounces Fox for a nice 2 week ankle sprain.

His competition for a reserve spot isn't exactly jaw dropping.. Love and Dwight are second options and aren't exactly having career years. Whiteside has been injured for half the season so far and his numbers have dipped. Drummond will probably make it. Aaron Gordon is having a nice season but his team is terrible. Horford is barely a 3rd option averaging 13 ppg. Maybe Simmons.

24 ppg and leading the league in blocks (2.4 bpg) as the main guy on his team is enough to get a reserve spot among those guys imo. Even with his shooting %'s slumping.

They should televise the draft process. That would be more entertaining than the actual game.

ummm no. Dragic probably won't make it. Simmons has had a more impactful season.
Brooklyn Nets
Damian Lillard - Rajon Rondo - Trey Burke
Victor Oladipo - Wes Matthews - Javon Carter
Caris LeVert - Derrick Jones Jr. - Glenn Robinson III
Andre Igoudala - Killian Tillie - Trey Lyles

Might be one of those situations where they feel obligated to get a guy from Miami in there since they've emerged as one of the better teams in the conference

Even so, Dragic has had a down year across the board. I drafted him in fantasy so I've been watching him. PPG/3FG/FG/Assists all down a good amount from last year. Plus he's missed games. Ben and Kemba deserve it over Dragic.

Dragic’s team is #4 in the conference. They might reward him, especially with his play during this surge (8-1 in the last 9)

21.1 PPG 5.0 RPG 6.9 APG 0.7 SPG
46% FG% 36% 3PT% 79% FT%

Simmons is a good candidate too. Kemba’s team play might hold him back.

Players don't respect Embiid playing part time but still running his mouth. Conditioning is part of what makes being consistently great hard, and Embiid has scheduled rest.

mm, I also think majority of the players don't fallow stats as much. I'am sure they know who scores a lot, or is an assist leader. But I doubt anyone goes too deep into advanced stats.

So they probably heard a lot about KP early, when he was all over the media with his 30 point games, plus, some probably remember those games in person.

While now, hes been bad for a while, but also media has been pretty quiet, (outside of couple NY media articles), so I doubt a lot of guys even know about his slump.

I thought it could end like this. Latvian athletes did well in such votings only when the voting number was unrestricted I think. Our servers are still fast, but looks like the voters are just lazy. KP didn't even win the vote for the most popular athlete in Latvia last year, people were just not voting for him.

Oh and also I noticed people were voting in FB status comments, like last year, but it didn't count as vote this year, plus I think a lot of twitter (re)tweet votes were done not with his full name but rather his twitter handle, so I guess that wouldn't count either.

Knick fans almost voted KP as an all star game starter but lost stamina towards the end. Fitting.

I think this is the main reason. But there's also a lot misconception in the league about Embiid's current status. When the Spurs faced the Sixers the other day, Pop mentioned that Embiid was on a minutes restriction, which hasn't been the case for months now.

Also, Kristaps Porzingis missed 6 games this season, Joel Embiid missed 9 thus far. That's not a massive discrepancy either.

Porzingis should be in the All Star game though, him and Horford are locks for the reserve spots.
