After a promising rookie year, I really thought Willie would be good this year but he's shown little motivation when getting an opportunity to play.

Detroit (at least the fans) has given up on Stanley Johnson...

How about if we trade Willie + Sessions to Detroit for Johnson? It would create a roster spot (Sessions) and alleviate the C glut by one. I think both of these players (not counting Sessions who'd be waived) could benefit from a change of scenery.

Rather hold onto Willy, and his absurdly low contract, than trade him for a reclamation project.

Now if there is actual news the Knicks are involved, then yes a separate thread should be made.
