I prefer the BAF draft happening after the RL draft

I put our draft a week after the real one. My thought process on it was that it would be better for each team to see where each player was drafted so each owner could get a better feel as to how each player would develop before committing your draft pick to them. Each team should know what real team their player is on IMO.

What if a GM drafts a player on the 2nd round and that player stays undrafted in the RL draft? What if that player isn't in the SIM?

That's why, imo, the BAF draft should be after the RL draft.
