PRESEASON POWER RANKINGS
TEAM (HIGHEST RANKING) (LOWEST RANKING)
1. Dallas Mavericks- (1) (7)
What an opposing GM said- Center position is weak AF. Unless Jordan Bell takes the next step.. With that being said, the rest of the roster is REALLY good. Giannis/Jrue/Beal is a great 3-man combo. Collison perfect backup PG and Ariza is a great role player.
2. Sacramento Kings- (1) (8)
What an opposing GM said- With the addition of James Johnson, the Kings should make a leap to the top 3 in the West
3. Golden State Warriors- (1) (14)
What an opposing GM said- added more star power while keeping vet depth. Going to be a top team in 18-19.
4. Atlanta Hawks- (3) (12)
What an opposing GM said- A really good squad. Liked their moves in the offseason, Tolliver sneaky good pickup for 1 buck. But extremely reliant on Durant offensively. Unlike some other teams, if he goes down, team is in trouble.
5. Boston Celtics- (4) (16)
What an opposing GM said- Harden, Love, Bradley, Beverly – Bench is a weakness
6. Miami Heat- (6) (25)
What an opposing GM said- I really dig how this team is build, love most of their players.
7. Toronto Raptors- (1) (23)
What an opposing GM said- Green, Cousins, Ball, Secton, Knox – With the addition of Cousins the Raps should improve, but I think the balance of their roster is too young to make a big impact right away. Look out though as the young players grow.
8. San Antonio Spurs- (7) (21)
What an opposing GM said- Dope big 3. Weak bench besides Sato/Etwaun/Napier, and they’re all guards. Gotta hope AD doesn’t get injured.
9. Denver Nuggets- (7) (26)
What an opposing GM said- A lot of star and solid players, Wall, DeRozan, etc. A lot of bricks too.. Gotta hope that Bullock and Reggie Jackson can balance things out.
10. Utah Jazz- (7) (25)
What an opposing GM said-- I really dig this team. Jokic/Drummond is a little weird but they both can do everything out there. Drummond can play D while Jokic can shoot outside, their two weaknesses are covered by the other. Guards are a bit shaky but they have a lot to choose from.
11. Indiana Pacers- (5) (24)
What an opposing GM said- I like a lot of players on this team. Led by mostly younger guys like Lauri and Doncic, so timeline is a few years off. Porzingis might take a hit with being injured but I can see them being a feisty team that can surprise.
12. Detroit Pistons- (13) (25)
What an opposing GM said- Greenie had a great season last year, and I had a hard time putting her out of the playoffs, but the East got stronger. I’ll probably be wrong.
13. Los Angeles Clippers- (17) (28)
What an opposing GM said- Sabonis should get a bump that will help in the front court. Clips should improve on last season.
14. Cleveland Cavaliers- (10) (28)
What an opposing GM said- Great young core, could make some noise with Dunn signing
All-Time Draft
PG- Oscar Robertson/Bob Cousy
SG- Earl Monroe/James Harden/Dana Barros
SF- Billy Cunningham/Michael Finley/Chet Walker
PF- Elvin Hayes/Dolph Schayes/Tom Chambers/Danny Manning
C- Walt Bellamy/Neil Johnston/Darryl Dawkins
