Chris Herring on Beasus Christ

Post#1 » by Mecca » Tue Feb 6, 2018 10:58 pm

Really good article on Beasley finding a home in New York.

We haven't had a good Knicks-Herring article in a minute so I definitely recommend the read.

https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/michael-beasley-is-instant-offense-but-hes-stuck-being-an-nba-nomad/

Regardless of where you stand on the former No. 2 overall pick, though, the reality is this: Beasley finds the bottom of the net more than any other NBA reserve on a per-minute basis. In fact, just six players total — Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, and Westbrook — outpace him there.

Say what you want about Beasley, but you need shot creation on your 2nd unit and Beasley is cheap points. He no longer shoots those long 2's or contested 3's anymore, thus he's been more of the player he was back in K-State than the wanna be stretch 4 he was the past few years.

I think he can net us at least a second rounder. A first if we are willing to take on a bad contract for him. Get it done Donnie

Kanter's defense is much more harmful to a team than Beasley's.

Beasley has been a nice surprise for a min salary player, and he certainly seems to have grown as a more mature player. Wouldnt mind him staying twith the team on a a reasonable deal.

Anyone missed Bill Walker? He looked like a world beater under DAntoni. How about Copeland? Why no article on Copeland?

both of them can't stay on the floor when it's playoff time. only good for 10-15 minutes a game and that's it. nothing more

We're still rebuilding and putting the pieces together. You need to sit back, hit a blunt, put on some pornhub and chill.

Beasley can give you 20 MPG easy. He can stay on the floor because a SF or PF's defense isn't as crippling as a 5 that can't switch on D.

He had to bring up D'Antoni. I wonder what he's doing these days?

They contributed to winning as much as Beasley did. More or less same numbers as well. I want an article on Copeland. At least he won here.

Well, the Knicks have zero shot at the playoffs this year, and probably the two years after that, so it's ok if they stick around a while
