I really wonder how certain guys last this long in the NBA. Must be a talent drought ongoing.

It gives us depth at the power forward spot, which we didn't have at all prior to the trade.
Beasley and Thomas were all we had at the 4, and Thomas is more of a SF. We now have a 3rd string or back-up power forward in O'Bryant.
With KP gone, our depth chart is much more balanced...
G: Jarrett Jack / Trey Burke / Frank Ntilikina
G: Courtney Lee / Damyean Dotson
F: Tim Hardaway Jr / Doug McDermott
F: Michael Beasley / Lance Thomas / Johnny O'Bryant
C: Enes Kanter / Kyle O'Quinn / Joakim Noah
I know you like to be positive but you're stretching more than Dhalsim right now.

Breen. O'Quinn gone for 3 2nd round picks, and just like that, the Knicks' Irish heritage is a thing of the past, Clyde.

Eh, whatever, he got waived.
I honestly thought O'Bryant made sense as a 3rd string power forward for us. Could have played the same role Shawne Williams did back in the 2010-2011 season.

Re: Johnny O'Brian Appreciation Thread
Let me get this straight.
The Knicks traded 2 second round draft picks to get William Hernangomez in the first place, and he actually looks like a decent to good player when he gets his minutes, who was signed on a very team friendly contract for the next 2 years.
And the compensation for picking a good 2 round draft pick is to get back 2 second round picks farther away from now that are probably going to be much lower than the Knicks would have picked, for the player Willy Hernangomez was?
WHAT A SPARKLING GREAT TRADE BY THE KNICKS!!!!

Look on the bright side. Hopefully one of those two picks turns out to be good. Then we can trade that dude for two more 2nd rounders 2-3 years after that. One of those hopefully will click, and we can flip him for two more 2nd rounders 2-3 years after that.
