fire the last coach, hire a new retread coach, fire the gm, hire another retread gm, disaster strikes again, demote steve mills, hire a new president of bball ops, fire the last retread coach, hire a new one, fire the retread gm, hire another retread gm, fire the last prez of bball ops, promote steve mills...

wash, rinse, repeat.

My money is on Blatt. I'd be surprised if he wasn't the next head coach of the Knicks.

i wouldn't have said this then, but we should have hired pat before he took the georgetown job. he would have expedited the development of KP.

I like that. Wish this franchise would think more in the scope of this. Do your damndest and try and find the next up and coming Brad Stevens type of college coach.

that flies with college kids who most aren't going to make it.

the nba, or sports in general has given power to the players that they're essentially in control. if a coach disrespect a player usually it's the coach/gm who gets fired(most recent, eli/mcadoo/reese situation). ewing will never be a coach in the nba because the second he back talks a player that player will tune him out and let his agent do all the talking/leaking.

Out of that group it's Blatt obviously. I have my reservations on him too though...

Jason Kidd can be a consultant like Steve Nash if he wants but no way in hell I'd make him head coach. The should just try to pluck someone off the Pops coaching tree. All this talk about building winning culture they should go after someone who actually knows what that looks like and has experience with one of the greatest franchises in the modern era.

Right on the money! Makes no sense to switch up coaches just yet knowing that KP will be out for at least a year. Hornacek is more than capable of coaching the team into the lottery for the remainder of this season and next.

I personally would like the Knicks front office to deep dive into the next head coaching decision with an out of the box hire. We know what Mark Jackson, David Blatt and the likes bring to the table already, why not make a bold move with the next Brad Stevens type college coach. Or my personal opinion I get the impression that Tim Legler or Greg Anthony would make a solid head coach, neither were all-star level PGs, but similar to Kerr they understand the game and are great commentators. It would have been nice to see Ewing take on the task especially with developing KP, but I wouldn't mind if the organization threw in a few great big men into the coaching selection process, someone like Alonzo Mourning could really help with pushing KP to the next level.

You know that's the opposite of what "diversity" means right?
