I mean I'm not goin to pretend like I know anything about the guy, but I have to assume he has shown flashes of being somewhat decent so why not take a chance. If anything we can just use him as trade bait or something
Anyway I'm sure they are going to stash him in the G-League
Just referencing the lotto pick part. Picked way too high, but certainly has some talent worth looking into.

Actually, during the workout process, it was Phil dashiki wearing master scout who took Kornet to dinner not Phil himself. If they liked him si much. I wonder why they drafted Jaramaz the PG over him in the late second round.

One of my agent friends represent him. He's going to be in the league ASAP. Has a ton of intrigue. Would be smart to give him a shot.

His offensive style looks a bit like Kanter but with a better shot and maybe taller and stronger. How's his D?

Well glad for him that he is gonna get a shot. I just don't see him fitting in here... Not that Kornet is anything special, but Wood looks like exactly what he is supposed to be -- good rebounder, good shot blocker, limited offensive player. That jump-shot does not look smooth (which is fine, no one is saying he should be an NBA All-Star here...yet). The problem I have is that I don't see the situations he was thriving in occurring at the NBA level. He basically appears to be a shorter Javale McGee with fewer episodes of attempted unnecessary heroism (which is a good thing).
