Stanton looks like he regrets not going to San Francisco.

Bryce Harper in pinstripes isn't out of the realm of possibility.

validates the importance of a good in game coach. Joe girardi was always working and thinking the ahead. While Arron boone just sits there with his tilted cap. How about mo stanton down or give him off day. Glad we are losing. FIRE THIS MAN! :banghead:

I watched Jack Morris pitch as a Tiger, Twin, and Blue Jay at their home stadiums respectively and split finger pitchers are like that. When they’re off, it’s rough looking. Morris would get rocked from the first inning and you knew it was a rough ride but come post season, Jack Morris might be one of the 5 best pitchers in MLB.

When Didi committed an error leading to 2 runs scored...3-0 Marlins lead I automatically knew this was not going to bode well for Tanaka. Sure enough, another error committed by the Yankees in the 5th before roof caved in.

But that’s how it’s going to go in baseball. Sometimes you got it, sometimes you don’t.

Again, this is April. It’s a 162 game season. NO ONE cruises w/o struggling. So let’s see how this month plays out and the next.

Girardi would have already been thrown out of a game at least once. Boone is like a robot, Girardi might have been a dick but at least he was real and honest with his players and would fight for his players, made no sense to let him go just because he rubbed shoulders with some players, tension is a good thing and gets players to always be on their toes rather then play with a level of comfort. Players would rather play for a manager who isn't afraid to get his uniform dirty and fight for you instead of a manager who just sits thereon a bench and says nothing.

the players should give out public apologies and full refunds to fans after embarrassing home losses just like yesterday. It's inexcusable to lose like this.... especially to the Marlins

Team needs a leader who will call it like it is they just dont have that guy who will take that lead, they are an extension of Boone. I think the team wants to win but they have to hate to lose and demand winning they need to force winning. Like George always said "Winning is second to breathing". That quote should be in the Yankee clubhouse.

I see Ohtani had a rough outing as well, sustaining a blister after giving up 3 home runs in a 10-1 route. Cool weather has a habit of making harder to locate your pitches because the ball doesn't drop as quickly. Luckily it's just a blister because this is also the weather where overthrowing can lead to more serious injuries in the months to come.

April is a strange month. That's why I'm not worried Stanton isn't hitting. Florida is a helluva lot more warm than NYC at this time of year. The most important thing is making it out without serious injuries, which is often due to guys pressing.

Baseball is a meditative marathon. It's not a sprint.

Why oh why did MLB start the season in MARCH!?!?!?! for the first time ever...geezus. Jackie Robinson day is the day that his era traditionally had opening day. *shakes head*

Its not like the team your playing isn't playing in the cold either, you know if your pitching you can umm get outs and get out of the cold faster, then you won't have to sit in the cold for a long time, the excuses for this team just need to stop.

Im fine with that, the fact that you would schedule a bunch of games in the northeast and great lakes area is just pure stupidity.

Clueless ass manager. Was buns as a player and we tossed a 2 time World Series winner out the door for this idiot. Is Dolan running the Yankees now or what?

Joe was a great manager. Plain and simple. This team is lost with no direction.

Just ridiculous, and not only getting rid of Girardi, but Tony Pena as well and replacing him with 1st year bench coach Josh Bard because hes good friends with Boone  . The RedSox hired a first year manager but they fired John Farrell and Cora has experience on the RedSox staff and the World champion Astros, and they sox hired an experienced bench coach as well as an assistant pitching coach. Right now the Red Sox are hotter then Lava right now and the Blue Jays are playing just as well as the Sox.

It's a little different now though because you just spent a 1-2 months in Florida training in the warmth and getting used to warm weather and then being brought up here is a brutal change. Transitioning to October/November will at least give the guys a chance to have their bodies acclimate as it progressively gets colder. This is especially true for guys with power arms and power hitters which is what our team is built around.
