Who knows, could end up being a better return than what Yanks gave up for him.

EDIT - Yanks trade Long

MLB.com ranked Stowers as the Mariners' 10th best prospect. Slashed .260/.380/.410 in low A last year.

Yanks sheded Shed. And we get another right-handed hitter. The stupid analytics doesn't stop.

Does Mariano get into HOF unanimously I doubt it there will be that one writer who wants to be that guy, just to say I'm that guy whoI didnt give Mariano a vote. Moose has a decent shot at getting in as well.

It'll be a while before he gets his shot at the big leagues anyway. For now, he's just another asset in the farm (ranked 23rd by MLB.com in the Yanks system, 4th best OF prospect not including Frazier).

The Red Sox writer who said he wouldn't vote for him has changed course.

Moose might be getting in, but I'm guessing he goes in as an Oriole. His best years were there and he never won a ring in the Bronx.

I believe Mariano is as deserving as anyone has ever been of being elected unanimously to the Hall of Fame. He is among those few players who will never be forgotten, not by Yankees fans or baseball fans.

I think there will be a guy like that. There was already one who wrote a really dumb article.

Again, that particular person changed course.

Still though, there's always the possibility someone looking for fame and an ESPN interview votes no.

Yeah I would expect Moose to go in as an Oriole he had his moments with the Yankees he was a bad luck guy playing between the titles. He was an out away from a perfect game in Fenway, pitched the 1-0 shutout against Oakland in the ALDS, coming in relief in game 7 of 03 ALCS, and he did out pitch Josh Beckett in game 3 of the 03 World Series. He did win 20 games in his last season its too bad he couldn't be on the 2009 team he wouldve been the number 4 starter instead of Joba.

Moose might be getting in, but I'm guessing he goes in as an Oriole. His best years were there and he never won a ring in the Bronx.

Wonder... There's gotta be a Miami Marlins writer that won't give Jeter the vote next year because of the way he's handled things so far as one of the owners of the team.

Really don’t like this off-season. My expected lineup:

Torres
Judge
Hicks
Stanton
Andujar
Sanchez
Voit
LeMahiu
Frazier/Gardy

Hope to everything Gary comes back to form or else we're pretty screwed.

Voit is a big ?

LeMahiu is eh... Reminds me of last year's Drury.

Hicks, Judge, Stanton historically have terrible starts.

Love Clint Frazier and wanted him to be a thing here about a year or two ago but Bryce Harper is literally out there for money... We need a lefty bat.

Gardy is a legend but there's not much we can expect from him other than his usual hot first half start.

Mussina in the HOF?

Has Jerry Koosman been inducted yet?

Ok, Mussina is definitely better.

He's a guy whose stats aren't in line with past HOF pitchers, but it's probably worth revisiting what is, with 5 man rotations, inning limits, Mussina pitching in the era of at least 2 BP pitchers of quality per team, and more like 3, at least, etc.

So, Mussina is probably a modern HOF pitcher, yeah.
