Iono about Manhattan - I only eat 99¢ Pizza when I am there (40th btwn 7th & Broadway). But the best Pizza in the world is in Queens. Margherita Pizza on Jamaica Ave btwn 163rd & Guy Brew (163-04 Jamaica Ave).

53rd st. btwn 7th & Broadway there is a good Mexican cart (authentic tacos and Mexican food). It's right next to the Hope Sculpture.

I couldn't walk by that damm cart without salivating and ordering lunch, but sometimes the line is very very long.

The "Best Pizza in Manhattan" is in Brooklyn at DiFara's.

And here we go :D

There are a ton of good places in all the boroughs, for the old school slice, sicilian etc. There seem to be a bunch of places serving up the more classic margarite/fancy pizza in Manhattan, but all the boroughs as well. I don't get to the city as often, so only have experience with the one in Chelsea Market, but reviews indicate a bunch. Bigger hit in the wallet, more sit down places though.

fyi, there are 2 halal guys carts @ 53rd&6th, one by the hotel, one across the 6th ave. theyre the same guys serving the same food, cooked from the same cart. not sure why but the one by the hotel always has a long line. if the line is too long, go to the other one.

It is tho.

I think it comes down to who's chef'n it. The salty sweat, cart dust, and dirt under the fingernails from certain dudes hands is the missing ingredient that completes it.

Maybe the dudes from the other Halal Guys cart wash their hands too much :dontknow:
