this makes the most sense...it makes more sense than paying KOQ 10 million a year. Noah can be a 15-20 minute a night backup IMO.

Kinda like how Eli Apple is getting a fresh start with the giants new regime and coaching staff...once we fire Jeff hopefully we consider to bring back NOah before we extend KOQ to a contract we will regret (and i like kyle)

I can live with that scenario but if we are really trying to get a big time FA to come paying KOQ 10 million still makes no sense. Basically you don't pay role players before you know what your roster looks like.

Outside of Frank/KP and whoever we draft we have no idea how this franchise will look.

I would rather just blow up the roster next year and give KP most the year off recovering and try to draft high one more time.

I know that won't happen though so yes I would prefer KOQ and Noah rather than Kanter and KOQ with a noah stretch.

TBH, I was looking forward to watching Noah this season. He looked like he had a pretty live body again early this year. He probably benefitted greatly from his extended lay-off and may have healed well enough to be a legit contributor for the remainder of his contract.

I'd rather watch a guy who actually understands the game of basketball than half the idiots on this squad who can't tell the difference between a defensive assignment and a bag of skittles.

They currently want to win meaningless games right now just to feel good. I personally believe the top 5 draft pick could help the Knicks win more games next season. Honestly, I hope Kanter opts out and they let KOQ walk.

When you continue to keep very nice useful players around it's no wonder you can't tank as well as other teams.

But more than that, I want to just play young guys and keep as much cap space available as possible so that we can be big players in the free agent market in 2019,2020 and 2021 when there will be difference makers.


To me: Kanter and KOQ= David Lee in '08 AKA Nice player but not someone you pay/keep when your not even sniffing the playoffs.

Keep Noah as a rotation regular and great guy to have for the young guys. Maybe he even plays well enough to get some cap relief and a 2nd rounder or something...
