I'm on the fence. Can he be a legit starter next year? Like actually a player you can feel comfortable making a run during a regular season and maybe playoffs?

he looks like a starting NBA PG to me
I dont know who the bench guard is, Timmy or Frank, but the way Burke is looking he's likely the starter

No way Mills allows any coach to bring his 70 million dollar toy come off the bench. Although i agree Timmy is suited to be a bench player.

mills needs to accept that he took an L on that contract. or this team will never go anywhere in the future

To hell with Mills. Timmy literally has "6th Man" drawn on his forehead in lemon juice. I know. I saw it for myself when I passed a black light over Tim's head while he was sleeping.

Re: The Official Treyverson Thread
timmy and burke are a very talented scoring unit for sure but you can't afford two players of that defensive caliber
and thats a little harsh to Burke who is better than Hardaway even
but Frank and he show much more promise together long term
I agree that THjr is a trade asset over a long term keep
I think Kanter has to be that too
we need two way players

I wanna wait till the start of the next season, when some real games will be played, before I'am completely sold on Burke.

Re: The Official Treyverson Thread
Burke is by far the best overall PG on the team and he's played very well and has earned the starting PG spot but I'm not convinced he's a starter on a good team. But we won't be a good team anytime soon so who cares? Let the kid play.

Knicks are stuck with Hardaway. Or Knicks fans, I should say.
#1, his contract blows, so he'll be here until it expires. Like a CLee contract but only worse.
#2, that's Mills boy, who he couldn't wait to sign. So he's here for the duration.
Hope a coach comes in that has a quick hook for when he doesn't play defense, because that's the only way that contract will reach market value.

except none of those things are necessarily true
his contract sucks but its well within the range of a lot of bad contracts out there. Hardly unmovable.
He's Mill's signing but that doesn't mean Mills won't move him. not in any way. GMs sign and trade players all the time. Its not like he's his son or something. come on.
but I agree he needs to be held accountable for his defense

What about playing Burke, Frank and Timmy together?
Maybe Timmy can guard SFs and just put Frank on the most talented PG/SG/SF of any team, and put Timmy and Burke on the remaining two?

As Frank gets older, Frank becomes the SF.
