NO ONE worth their salt, wants to coach the Knicks because there's no cap space, 2 best players are too young, and their draft position is uncompelling...oh and the owner meddles.

We need a woman coach to yell at the team like my momma used to do to me all through jv.

Sign up Becky Hammon and give her a whistle as big as Tony Brothers'.

Need someone with experience because the job is too big, if Fizdale was overwhelmed with Gasol...that's nothing. Need a strong presence who can handle things quickly.

Nick Nurse looks pretty good

Nurse started with the young guys -- Poeltl, Pascal Siakam, Norman Powell, OG Anunoby, Delon Wright, Fred VanVleet -- at informal workouts in Los Angeles, and then in Las Vegas for summer league. As James Herbert of CBS Sports detailed, they played pickup with new rules: Corner 3s earned four points, and any shot between the paint and the 3-point arc counted as minus-1. Nurse strongly encouraged anyone who grabbed an offensive rebound to dunk or kick the ball out to a 3-point shooter, though he did not mandate it as he had during his time in Houston's D-League lab. (Back then, he banned midrange shots in practice.)

Wright's not leaving Nova, and how in the hell is Jackson second in this poll? Jesus...

Stackhouse. New blood and he seems to know what he's doing and he's tough as nails.

He demeanor is not soft, and if Thibs is his Idol, he will be a task master. He basically wants to be related to the Pat Riley tree style of coaching. I like. Young and can easily relate to the players.

I will be cool with Fizz, JVG just as much. But Im rolling with Stack for my vote.

I did too.

I hope the brass takes the interviews VERY seriously though and doesn't already have a set idea.

I like JVG and even Mark Jackson for one main reason--he will bring Knicks PG play back from the dead. We're going nowhere without modern NBA PG play.

Jay Wright's answer on if he is interested in the NBA:

Jay Wright wrote:I’m staying. I love it here. I love what we’re doing. I’m just really happy. I said when I was at Hofstra and I didn’t take other jobs, I used that old Jim Valvano line, "Don’t mess with happy."

That seemed appropriate at Hofstra until this job opened. It’s still really appropriate. I’m very happy here. I don’t need another challenge. I like happy better than a new challenge.

The NBA does intrigue me. That challenge is appealing, but it’s not worth giving up working with these guys. The whole thing is, to take a new challenge you have to give up what you have. I don’t want to give up what I have.

Would I like to coach in the NBA? Yes. But I have to give this up in order to do that, and I don’t see that happening.

I don’t know what is the reservation over Mark Jackson. All of these other coaches get job after job but the guy with a winning record doesn’t have the capacity to learn from his first stint? I’m not buying it. The players will love him, he will get them to play defense and he will build their confidence offensively. I remember Mark was the first person saying Steph Curry was the best shooter in NBA history and many people at the time scoffed at that. There are a lot of candidates but I won’t be mad at a Mark Jackson hiring in the least.

Better back that Brinks truck to Jay Wright's house. He's a coach I would go after if they're really serious about development.

Problem with a rookie head coach is they'll have to prove themselves to the players while obviously doing whatever management wants because they gave them the opportunity. It's a bad mix especially when you're under the NY microscope.

Hell yeah. My mom hates sports. But damn, she'd let me know just how **** and lazy I was while on the court, at times. "why you resting on defense? You can rest when you get home."

I just edited this video. Its a coaching and behind the scenes video of Stack with the 905 team. It was 30 mins long and I edited it down to around 12 mins of the best stuff. Not sure how anyone can watch this video, and unless its Jay Wright and want any other coach but Stackhouse. This dude is a natural coach and tough. The way he can relate to the players no other candidate can match imo as well.

He learned from Dean Smith and Larry Brown so his roots are in a good place, and he idolizes Thibs as a coach. He is want the Knicks NEED. My Favorite Gem of the video starts @ 5:26.

Bring this man to the Knicks ASAP.
