They should at least interview Becky Hammon but they won't. There's even an indirect connection there since she was a star player for the Liberty. I saw her play a couple of times. Not surprised she ended up coaching. She was tough and heady.

I’m not sure if he would be an upgrade over Jeff. I haven’t really watched his team’s play all that much.

I just read that he's taking care of his 5 kids so I don't think that he could do it now anyway.

My gut says it will be Stack and since I'm good with that I voted for him.

One thing I don't expect this time around is a bidding war for a coach. So this notion that Wright will drive the price up to $10M per is to me utter bollocks.

The vibe they are putting out is 100% about developmental coaching so they are going to also invest in a coach for whom this is the perfect opportunity without needing their ego stroked by bigger paychecks or immediate playoff appearances.

They are setting the expectations to a place where they can afford to hire a guy like Stackhouse. Whether that is what transpires or not, they are clearly setting the table to keep that open as a viable option.

He was a tough player. A good one if not a great. Would typically be a very solid third or fourth option on any championship squad.

Also, Perry was in the FO of Detroit when Stackhouse was a player

Maybe they have a prior relationship

GS ownership couldn't stand him. He got into it with assistant coaches and he's known to be very preachy. If he couldn't get along with GS management I shudder to think how he and Dolan would be together.

Picture Mark Jackson holding up a bible preaching in the locker room.

Picture Perry standing at the back of the locker room with his arms folded and face in his sour puss pucker.

These two images will never co-exist.

But wait. What has he done as a coach? He had a good team this year with a tremendous amount of talent supplied by the Raptors. Is there more?

Also you have it backwards. He is the one who has supplied the Raptors with a tremendous amount of talent, that HE developed.
