OT Favorite professional wresting managers?
I just googled Bobby "the Brain" Heenan and just found out he passed away last year. As a kid a watched that dude and I have to say he was one of the top Managers shills out there. I just loved to hate that guy. Sad to see him gone.

During my time I gotta go with The Brain and Paul Bearer. Paul Bearer was great with Taker and also awesome when he turned on him for Mankind and Kane. He used to have me shook as a kid in the early 90's when Taker wasn't talking yet.
Little after my wrestling fandom, but it's easy to see how great Paul Heyman is.

When I was in elementary school (grade 2 or 3) there was a kid a year or two older than me that used to tell everybody that Elizabeth (Macho Man's lady) was his sister.

Re: OT Favorite professional wresting managers?
Heenan was the greatest both as a talker and actually taking bumps. Cornette was the best at getting heel heat. I also really liked Sensational Sherri and Paul E. Dangerously.

Ok ok.... speaking my language now.
I also thought of Heenan immediately. Maybe only Heyman can come anywhere near him. There were other great managers who fit the criteria and did the job sufficiently, but none as entertaining as those two IMO. Thatās what you call a mouthpiece.
Sweet thread. How about favorite commentating duos? Is it Gorilla Monsoon and Heenan? Vince and King? JR and King? Gorilla and Jesse?
I thought Piper was great as a commentator, and Mr. Perfect was pretty good too. Joey Styles is classic. Tony Schiavone didnāt suck either. I miss old wrestling

Paul Heyman is my favorite. He was fantastic w/ Lesnar and Punk.
Kind of underrated imo, but Stephanie McMahon when she was paired up w/ Hunter in the early 2000s. Great heel character.
