David Lee has come out in favor of Mark Jackson. I'm not scared of the hire at all anymore, especially after Adam Silver and JVG came out in favor--they know the guy as well as anyone.

mark Jackson was good at developing young players in GS and none of his former players have ever said anything bad about him. that is the only reason I wouldn't be too upset if we hired mark, I'd just be upset. I don't think he is a championship coach but he could develop our guys then in a few years we could hire a guy that is ready to take this team to the next level.

Hire fiz please.

LMAO, yea that's because Mark Jackson started David Lee ahead of Draymond Green, and was the last coach to run plays for him.

He needs to show A LOT this year for me to consider it. He’s not skilled right now. Like, at all.

He's saying that Knicks fans need someone from New York, someone that they will listen to. Is there any truth there (as to what you guys want), or is it just him campaigning hard for his friend?

Mark Jackson would give Stephen A unfettered access and make his job easier than it is. Anyone that Mark had a problem with would get ripped apart on BSPN by Stephen A. It would be a complete and utter mess.

Interesting...

The Suns are cheapskates. Instead of dinner, they probably had a cheese and crackers tray in the GM's office.

MP4LIFE wrote:So has anyone asked why we haven’t interviewed Messina yet?

Isola came out and trashed Dolan and the Knicks in an article today and honestly it’s well deserved.

We’re out here trying to pretend this is a new direction and we are interviewing the likes of Woodson, Jackson and Kenny Smith when every other organization is interviewing candidates people around the league actually want and respect. This is laughable at this point.

If Messina is so coveted why hasn’t any other team publicly expressed interest?

Being a consultant is a very far cry from saying he built those teams. He was still working as a broadcast analyst full time and living in California. He had nothing to do with Amare, Marion, or Barbosa. Who knows if he had anything to do with Nash.

Colangelo and D'Antoni were the architects of those teams.

Kerr, the executive, never matched their success.

Still had executive experience. And they were old and washed up when he came aboard. No one works water into whine.

Nah, nobody was washed up at that point. Kerr was the one who broke the team up by trading for Shaq. That’s 100 percent on him. So he was an exec and flamed our but had an opportunity to learn. I say that in response to talks about Kenny Smith making the search a joke. I mean someone like Smith you really just don’t know how it will turn out.

I am intrigued by the idea that a native ex-Knick will make a difference, at some point the theory should be tested. If it doesn't work out that myth should die. We've heard that for so long.
