OT: The walking dead season finale discussion

Post#1 » by CowboyBebop » Wed Apr 18, 2018 10:31 am

Discuss how awful the episode was and how far the show has fallen here. Spoilers obviously.

So I have negan mortally wounded. But I’ll just let him live. Great.

Maggie and Darryl turning against rick next season.

I lost interest in the books before that even happened. I was starting to read it by skimming to find out just what the f*ck happened with all the different communities etc. I "think" (it's been a while) that there was a flashback part before finding out what happened to Negan, or they went to it right after. Either way, I was already skimming so it could get to the f*cking point already in the whole battle with Negan and when that flashback thing happened I just quit reading it.

I was hoping Negan got a couple of swings in on Rick, but knew something dumb would happen

At this point, where does the series even go? I forget, did they introduce a new enemy? How often can it be "fighting that bad group", which even the book did like 3 times.

The "book"? I don't think it was reviewed by the NY Times.

People, it's a take-off of a comic ... A COMIC who's plot has already been written. The episode was fine.

I understand people were not happy with All Out War. Anyhow, Angela Kang, who's written the shows best episodes, will be the new showrunner.

Honestly, I didn't even watch it yet, but am at a point where I don't mind reading a spoiler. Neither of those things even surprise me. Especially the second one.

I've wondered though if those old man Rick "visions" they've aired are actually a flash forward.

Sucked. The crossover episode of FTWD was better. I'm almost done with the show. It's really too rinse and repeat for me. I would rather read the comics. I'm sure the last 2 years would have taken 30 minutes to read.

The Walking Dead has been terrible since the "governor" villain.....is he's was about as hard as soggy piece of bread. It's the same plot line over and over, even if they play a mutiny card next season, you could argue that's already been done as well with Shane at the beginning. It was a cool concept when it came out, FTWD just loaded onto what was an already saturated market. It's like making another Amy Schumer movie....why do it? Outside of Cliff Curtis, that cast is a bunch of scrubs....and again, the storylines have been done to death, pun intended.

Looks like the windmill is coming to tv screens near you..

The Walking Dead is looking to bring a massive piece of its comic book source material to life for its ninth season on television.

"Monday night, Location Manager Mike Riley asked the Senoia City Council for permission to build a 55-foot tall windmill on the 'Alexandria' site, located the Gin Property development in downtown," Newnan Times-Herald reports, "and to keep it there for three years."
