KP sits for next season, then it's all about development. No playoff talk, no "we're nearly there" crap.

KP comes back by January, then it's still all about development. He'll be getting 10-15 minutes a night for the rest of the time.

Anything else it's pure bullsh*t.

I don’t want him to miss all of next season. He needs to see limited action.

That would suck he would win us the last 10 games and ruin the tank and a whole season worth of hard work goes down the drain

There is no need to rush him back. Let him take the whole year off, rehab and get stronger. Fill the team with youth, and let Noah, Timmy, and Burke be our vets. Get rid of Lee in the offseason. Hopefully KOQ and Kanter both opt out. Don't sign anyone to more than a 1 yr deal unless they are a corner piece to the rebuild. Try to get a top 5 pick. 2019- 2020 is the year we should be looking to sign players to fill out the roster.

I change my vote from no to yes as I'm typing this post. I don't think I can change it.

Good luck making KP sit out tho. He already thinks he's gonna play next year right?

from someone a little older than you that remembers 94, being competent and not winning is just as, if not more gutting. id go through 10 more year of the process over stark's 2-18

You saying trying to fit as if I have the power to make him do it lol. I'm saying he should try and get a little boost, his 7'3" frame will be hard to pack on muscle. So what happens, he works his ass off for 3-4 months in an off season, healthy, adds some muscle. Then what? The season starts and before you know it, the 10-20 lbs he added is gone. He needs to add a lot of bulk like 30-40lbs to him imo. Just my opinion, it certainly won't he the only time it happens, defiently won't be the last.

KP is too good of a kid to do it anyway.

They'll shut him down for a year and still somehow get the 9th or 10th pick in the draft.

Without considering the OP's PED route, sitting out this long won't make him better or healthier, once his knee is healed and he is cleared at 100% he should play. FOH with this redshirting nonsense, its a very serious injury but one that athletes are coming back from sooner and sooner.

Yeah but it also gives him a year to really focus on getting his body right. Even before his knee injury he was struggling with strength and conditioning so this would be a perfect opportunity for him to direct some more focus towards filling out his body and getting stronger and more durable for an NBA season. It's not like the Knicks are going to be competing for anything next year and need him on the court.

That would be a long time without playing. I say unless it is absolutely necessary that he sit the season out he should play.

You cant trade Tim, unless it's for a player like Loul Deng and a pick. And I only add a pick because Tim is an effective player. Not on a rebuilding team. That being said the Lakers wouldn't trade for him. It would be hard. Plus I don't see Mills looking to deal him since he signed him last year and had a pretty good reason.

You're exaggerating a tad. Timmy is tradeable but you aren't gonna get great value for him. Just a lot of my junk for your junk type of trades.
