I would never call Steph a good defender.

Steph isn't a bad defender, he just lacks size/ strength but his defensive IQ and effort is at least average. His team defense in terms of playing the passing lanes and communicating is probably above average. I'd rather have a defender like Steph on my team than a defender like Harden. Harden doesn't even try half the time.

he knows how to hold his own for the most part in the team concept

basically he's not a lazy defender and thats enough for the champs

viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1705925&start=1120

is he an insider?

I don't think so but on there board there fans are pretty sure like 85 percent said that they will draft trey young to the magic if he is there.

I can't see us taking Young. Based on what we've heard from Perry, Mills and especially Fiz, he doesn't seem like the type of player they talked about.

IIRC, Fiz is a fan of Young

Don't think we'll get him. It would be a pretty dumb pick and I think we are looking for more athletic wings right now.

I still think we end up with a Bridges when it's all said and done.

Mikal ? I wouldnt hate that. Im worried he goes before us and Carter drops. My feeling is Sexton and Carter are going to be left of the top projected 10. And then id seriously consider Miles.
There's something about an underdog that really inspires the unexceptional.

Have mikal going to the cavs and young to the knicks......

We are targeting Trae Young because that is who the Hawks allegedly want.

Doncic for Young a possibility? Never give up.

if this is true, just curious, who would trade frank and 9th for the hawks pick ?

Only if Bagley is there. Doncic isn't worth it and we'd probably have to give 2 first rounders because we'd be dealing from a position of weakness with zero leverage (rival execs know he wants the Knicks)

That's what I'm bracing myself for, and I'd be content with either one.

I don't watch college ball so I have to go look at a video compilation to know what you guys are talking about.

Watching Trae's video was eye-opening. His shot release is one of the quickest I've ever seen. And his range is insane. Now I understand the Curry comparisons. He doesn't have to set himself, he literally can flick the ball from anywhere. It was pretty wild seeing that for the first time.

If he's available, he'd probably be the BPA and I'd roll the dice on him, because if he ends up being 50% of what Curry became that's still a Top 10 PG.

Paired with Frank, Fizzy should be able to construct a defensive scheme to make it work even if Trae is not a physical presence on D.

Frank can always guard the opposing PG if required.

I've never seen anybody shoot like that TBH. He may be truly unique.

His quick release and range is on display in this game. If you follow it to youtube there's plenty more to choose from

Even if he has liabilities, Trae looks like he could be a monster 6th man though

Trae might not be Steph, but what if he's Kyrie-lite? I still take that chance. i don't think he falls to 9, but yeah, I'm taking that chance.

Weren't there a fair amount of doubters about Curry when he was drafted?

I vaguely recall some people gloating over his ankle problems at the beginning of his career and that could have been all she wrote, but he overcame it and then turned a corner and became the player we know today.
