Reports of a discord between Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves' organization continue to trickle out this offseason.
The Wolves fired Karl-Anthony Towns developmental coach after their elimination from the playoffs.
"Has anybody noticed what's going on in Minnesota between Karl Towns and that organization?" said Brian Windhorst on the Lowe Post.
"It's not, um, well..." started Zach Lowe before "Darren Wolfson alluded to a lot of it on a podcast a couple weeks ago. They're not in a good. And I said on some podcast recently that I just have a gut feeling that something crazy is going to happen there this summer. It's not in a good place right now internally."
"If I was the Celtics, I would make a quiet call to Minnesota," replied Windhorst.
So it begs the question - would you trade KP for Towns?
Towns is a local kid, KP is coming off an injury.
KP is a home grown star
Towns is a stud but he has his flaws
Its a real question since Min would probably do it if they are in fact having issues with Towns. Its a lateral move perhaps. For both teams. Or is it?
End of the day I actually think KP is better but Towns has a good chance to be better himself. Plus he's not injured and KPs recovery is a bit of a question.
It would be a major move but would it be the right one for both teams?
