I am genuinely shocked by this. I thought the pure profitability/popularity of her show would have made her untouchable. At least for the immediate future.

They've (ABC) been very quick to act the last couple of years.
It's one of the reasons they pulled Last Man Standing, even though it was their most successful comedy at the time.

I had a feeling this show was more on the fence than appeared. I think the network was lying in wait for that shoe to drop ... and it did.
