On Snoop’s YouTube-based show on GGN News, Smith declared his affection for women’s behinds. In addressing the hubbub this caused in a #MeToo era at a Disney-owned company, Smith maintained he has been asked that same question — chest or butt — many times and is vexed it’s being thrust into the spotlight now.

“I’ve always answered the question the same way. And I’ve answered the question the same way since I’ve been in this business, over 25 years. … Anytime I’ve been asked that specific question, I’ve literally given the same answer.”

“Always, always ass. That’s true,” Smith said on the show. “I know I’m associated with Walt Disney, but everyone knows I’m a bottom feeder.”

ESPN, which directed a request for comment to Smith’s apology, is currently enmeshed in a discrimination and sexual harassment lawsuit filed by a former employee, which is not connected to Smith.

I'm pretty left leaning for the most part, but this is a non-story. Why is Screamin A apologizing for this? And why did USA Today think this was newsworthy? If anything, most people actually probably found it funny that Screamin A was having some fun for once in his life on Snoop's show.

Did USA Today really think ESPN/Disney would get offended by this? I'm pretty sure Rachel Nichols cursing on Pardon My Take and her appearance on Desus & Mero was just as bad or worse. SAS' comment still isn't as bad as what Katie Nolan said on Desus and Mero. And I'm pretty sure others on ESPN have said things worse than SAS.

USA Today should have let this go. No one was claiming misogyny before you claimed it.

I mean this is nothing compared to when he seemingly blamed domestic abuse victims for provoking men to beat them up after the ray rice incident

I don't see how anyone could make an issue of his comment. Most black men will pick ass over tits. Doesn't mean they dont want both, just if they had to pick.

The rationale is that in the #metoo era answering this question is objectifying women

How did the NYPost miss this? Right up their alley.. today's top article was about Rudy Guliani bragging about his latest mistress being "big boobed"

It's a silly rationale because all he's doing is listing his preference though.

So I guess someone should start saying when you first see someone that you should be attracted to their...intellect? But how do you even know that when you first see someone? Besides, not every intelligent person is attractive.

This whole #metoo era while has done good, is also taking us backward. If this keeps up, it's going to get to the point where people will be scared to talk to each other because someone will eventually be offended.
