Knox and Bamba swapped hometown teams.

He'll do it before long, but it still won't be the core of his game anymore than it is for KD. He'll face the basket when he is holding the ball the majority of his possessions. And when he does have his back to the basket, he'll probably spin off guys or step back from them as much as back them down

Knox looks special because all it will take for him many times is one step and full extension. With his length and touch he will get off a lot of shots in a swooping fashion which will be harder to stop than some of his current straight to the rim moves. But even now when he does barrel in he shows a high capacity for drawing fouls which is great

I've seen him score out of the post. He has a lil jump hook over the left shoulder that he goes to.

I think he already has the full toolkit in his bag. He's just in the process of unpacking it. Over time he'll refine everything, but he is essentially a formed player already which is a pretty clear indication of stardom.

Nothing he can’t do. Just feel like he can really be a Giannis type passer.

I don't even think Knox is ugly.......... ha!

He's no model, and he's got a squishy baby face and big brow or whatever, but people talk like he's Popeye Jones lol. It's weird to me. He'll fill out. We just have a pretty handsome mofo'in team, for the most part lol.

Now somebody give me the Prince gif.

In looking like the Knicks’ starting small forward come October, Knox exploded for his summer-league high 29

Hard to see how Fiz starts anyone else. Kid looks ready.

Riots down 7th Ave if Courtney Lee gets the start.

Don't know if this was posted, but do what you will with it...

draftexpress6'9 and 18-year-old Kevin Knox, a #kentucky product and the 9th overall pick by the #newyork #knicks, leads all 2018 #nbadraft class members in scoring @nbasummerleague in #lasvegas but there are still areas that he needs work
.
In 2 appearances Knox has driven to his left and maneuvered back to try to finish with his right hand 12 times
.
Learning to use his left hand in traffic and working on the creativity in his in-between game would do wonders moving forward

This is great news. He averaged 23+ ppg while still not close to a finished product. Love it.

MP4LIFE wrote:Nothing Knox has shown in his games has ever hinted at a flash of potential of greatness. Or even above average. Just because he's 18 years old doesn't mean he's going to get amazingly better. There needs to be something there and there is not much at all. His athleticism is good, not great. Nothing that blows you away. His basketball IQ is below average at best. His effort is bad. His defense is awful. He plays well off the ball and can hit some mid-range jumpers - aka the most useless shot in today's NBA.

Nothing about this pick screams high potential other than his age. I just don't see it.

MP4LIFE wrote:This pick has little potential to improve. Watch his games. It's not about ability. Basketball IQ and effort doesn't magically get better just by being in the NBA or getting older.

MP4LIFE wrote:Shooting can improve. Just like a body can.

Dumb, low effort players can't.

I'm just wondering if you've seen anything in the past 3 summer league games that might lead you to believe that you may have possibly been mistaken or if you are going to die on this hill

I want Knox to drop 34 next game then I will believe he ready for the year. To be a good player not just a starter that’s young. Give me a 30 point game 10 rebs

I'd like to see him shoot over 50% from the floor. He certainly looks like part and has a lot of flash, but he's not going to get this type of volume in the real games unless he starts hitting more shots.
