That punk (no offense MPH) MPJr should focus on his rehab and less about "talk." He knows he has a spotlight on him since his NCAA days for the back.

So far only 9 teams have submitted a preseason rankings. I will give it until Friday for anyone who has not yet sent anything in. I was hoping for at least 20 teams or so to participate so they would mean a bit more.

Also, if you’re interested in doing a preseason write up SI style for ONE other team (strengths, weaknesses, projected lineup, best offseason move, outlook with predicted record/finish) let me know via PM. Next week I will assign each team who wants to participate a random team from another GM who is also participating. It will give everyone something to do for the next few weeks as we wait for basketball to return.

Porter if healthy will be a nice addition on that Nuggets team. Solid young core with Murray/Harris/Barton/MPJr/Jokic, good veterans in Milsap and IT and solid towel waving cheerleader on the bench in Trey Lyles as he will see his minutes diminish if Porter is healthy.

Just submitted my power rankings.

A few notes:
I'd most want to watch the Pacers.
The West is going to be SUPER competitive for those last few playoff spots. A lot of teams I think are relatively even.
My bench sucks.
I valued depth over best player in most cases.
The Spurs were very difficult to rank. I am not a huge fan of the team beyond AD (Lowry and Jaylen are nice pieces), but man do most teams not have a true answer for AD. Like with my team, I like my depth a little more, but AD would absolutely destroy my frontline, pushing his team over the top.
It was difficult to rank teams whose best players were mostly rookies.

Mulford: In regards to Dennis, did you meet him through one of Steph’s UA camps or was that a Carolina connection?

Payne: Just this past year, Dennis really caught my eye and became a player that I really wanted to work with. They reached out to me right after the season this year and normally I wouldn’t take on other players, but he’s a little bit different. With Dennis, we’ve been working together on and off this entire offseason. We worked a little bit in Charlotte, we worked in Dallas, we worked some in Vegas for Summer League, and now we’re working in the Bay area for a few days. And we’ll continue to work through the offseason and probably into the season as well. He’s somebody I really enjoy working with. He’s a willing learner and definitely worth the time. It’s a relationship I’m looking to solidify and continue as we work to get Dennis some new tools offensively in games.
