I'm being a little sarcastic but I do think he's legit. He has the handle and is able to create the small spaces to get his shot off. Many guards are never able to get those skills and he already has them.

I don't care if it's only preseason, his Hesi dribble drive is legit and will make this kid a TON of money.

Add in to that -- his mentality! This kid is NOT afraid!! And he accepts challenges head on. How he went undrafted is beyond me... If/when he learns to finish to his left, then seriously - WATCH OUT! This is the only weakness I've yet to see. He plays defense. He is unselfish. He is not afraid to get on the floor. He reminds me of a more athletic Malcolm Brogdon.

Not to hi-jack this thread but how I'd love to see Fiz use Trier & Frank more together... I'm not a numbers guy like many here but I swear there was a certain chemistry with them playing alongside each other. I really think they could become a solid backcourt!!

I would use Trier as a PG rather than a SG. Trier has the handle to play PG.

Not sold on Trier, I worry he will be just a low-efficiency scorer. Also seems he has poor court vision and limited passing ability so he will be turnover prone.

He at least showed some defensive ability and effort

I have seen enough from Trier to say get rid of Timmy and clear that cap space now. Even if Trier is just a high volume shooter, mediocre defender and passer, that's what Timmy is!

WEll what we know about him so far is that he’s a beast every other game. Using this logic, it’s logical to say we will definitely at least be 41-41. He’s played every game of his career so it’s safe to say that will continue. He was really sweaty around Rebecca Harlow so it’s safe to assume older women make him nervous, not a big deal that will come with age and experience. So if we go off the premise that he will win 50% of his games all we really need to do is scrape together 1 win on his down days every other playoff series. He already plays better D than harden so I disagree with the topic title

For real though, isn't his absolute best-case-scenario upside something along the lines of Jamal Crawford if Jamal Crawford couldn't pass? Bench scorer with no ability to create for others.

Seems like a good fit for 12 mpg on the Warriors during games that Curry sits.

Not against good defensive teams. The only thing that’s legit in his game is his mid range/free throw jumper. We need to see how he handles traps before we crown him anything.

I see a little Will Barton...a little quirky and little all over the place but can get almost anywhere on the court and if he just reigns in some of that decision making he def has a knack for putting the ball in the basket.
