My preferred wing is either RJ Barret (who is a good ballhandler and 6'7" - great size), or Romeo Langford (6'6" pure scorer - not as much a playmaker as Barrett but the best pure scoring wing in the draft).

Really the only good PG imo

I joke, but the kid is a legit top 10 pick on my board right now

Son is nice but I want more size. Real talk, like you said, we could have just took SGA if they didn't think Frank was a 1.

Ideally he'd be a little taller, but this is the best I could do if we're committed to Frank as a wing

You know what'd be funny is if we think we can get Kyrie in free agency so we draft a wing but then Kyrie stays in Boston and Kemba goes to Brooklyn

Well parsons is not a maverick and the picks they’d ask for are 2019 and 2021 and we realize this ain’t 2K

Knox would be by far their best prospect

And if you're right and they have the better record, then we would have the better draft pick

Your only argument is that they have 2 max slots to our 1, but again, that doesn't mean anything if neither of us can land a max cat, and you're projecting best case scenario for them and worst case for us

If neither team gets a max player the Nets can tank the Knicks can't. They have more ways to stay out of being a mediocre bottom lotto team if they chose to exercise them. On the other hand Knicks can't tank with KP. I also think your under rating the Nets prospects. They are probably more valuable than the Knicks assets right now.

And you're overrating their prospects

You ever hear the proverb "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush?"

We have a bird in our hands right now (KP), maybe even two with Knox. But you'd rather be chasing after the two birds in the Nets cause they could be anything but they don't have them yet

Again, you're predicting best case for them and worst case for us. Whoever we draft this year will be adding to our potential stars, whoever they draft will be their only potential star

Good! Cuz that scenario would force them to play Frank at the 1.

But back to Morant, another thing I don't like despite the lack of height is he is not a 3pt threat. We need shooters.

I know, but when you do a trade for pick swaps, the other team will chose a pick for you...

And i dont see Knox as someone who cant become a star... its more a thing of fit with Frank reluctant to attack and a lot of wings in the upcoming FA

Ntilikina
Doncic
Durant, Kawhi or Klay
2019 draft
Porzingis

I see that as a much better fit

Honestly I don’t care about the Nets its just they have more avenues to build a contender imo. The Knicks are more high risk high reward if that makes sense. Yes if everything goes absolutly perfectly the Knicks can be really good in a short about of time but so can the Nets. However if everything goes wrong the Knicks are most likely going to end up where they have been, in 8-10 range, where as the Nets have more flexibility. Agree to disagree.

Or we give Burke 15 mil a year

You're right that Ja needs to improve his jumper, so we'll see how he does this year with that. I think he projects to be a good shooter, cause his form isn't too bad and he shoots well from the free throw line, but sometimes guys just don't improve from there. He has a good combination of athleticism and playmaking, so he's like a mini John Wall

I still take all the wings and Zion over him, but since I see us picking around 8/9 and we don't want Frank to be PG, I'd say there's a good chance we're looking at him. I don't really know though, it depends on what happens during the season. Trae Young came out of like nowhere last year. It's way too early to be doing this

Return to New York Knicks
