O/T: Craig Carton found guilty

Post#1 » by Ray Williams » Wed Nov 7, 2018 10:51 pm

Faces up to 45 years in prison. Damn, dude had to be paid big $$$ to host a morning radio show in New York. Can’t believe he threw all that away.

I will never understand how financial crimes could amount to that much time in prison. Not excusing what he did at all, but damn 45 years is a long time

Yeah very serious, but put up against what some violent criminals get for serious offenses 45 years just seems a bit steep to me

maybe violent criminals sometimes don't get enough time. i don't see why that should mean carton gets less.

Sounds about right. I wish the judge would throw the book at him though. He refused to admit any guilt or wrongdoing. He’s an ****. His partner at least pleaded guilty so he’s only facing a max of 20 years.

he will def get more time than his partner cause of that. What his partner gets in sentencing will be a good indication of what craig gets. He prob does 5-10 years more than him.

Financial crimes? I don't know why they call these financial crimes when this is flat out robbing. There is no difference than someone pointing a gun at you and asking for your wallet. Well actually there is a difference. You probably end up losing only a few dollars when someone robs you on the street. This, however, costs people their lifetime savings.

He should have worked for a bank. He'd have gotten a bonus instead of a jail term.

Were people actually significant harmed financially as a result of his particular actions? I'm relying on you because I haven't followed the case. I'm gonna guess that he wasn't doing Madoff-level ****. 45 years is A LOT of time unless you really fcked a lot of people over.
