https://www.theringer.com/2018/11/27/18115116/the-mismatch-can-rockets-and-jazz-turn-it-aroundStarting at the 36 minute talk - Chris Vernon and Kevin O'Conner talk a good 10 minutes on the Knicks. Vernon claims to have spoke to a lot of people closely involved in the franchise.
Key Point -
1 - The organization LOVES trier and is also really high on Mitchell Robinson future.
2- Mario experiment feeling like disappointment
3 - disappointment in Knox thus far
4 - everyone Vernon talked to within the organization is OUT on Frank and his future.
I'm sure I missed some points, and some of these conclusions we could've come to ourselves, but it is interesting to hear from someone who claims to have inside knowledge.

the fact that we have guys in the organization already dissappointed in a 19 year old and completely out on a 20 year olds future means these guys shouldn't have a job with the knicks...disgusting to hear. I literally have no confidence in the front office to make the right decisions unless you show out offensively like Trier has done...

It's unfortunate, but it really does seem inevitable that Frank will get traded. Some team will take a chance on him and buy low. There are a lot of signs on the wall that we are not too invested in him.

that could be the case and that completely shows the ineptitude of the people running our organization sell low on a 20 year old with a elite nba skill rather then working tirelessly on him improving on the offensive end.
If he gets moved as a filler for a Lee deal...I literally will have a hard time believing anyone in the front office has any basketball sense what so ever.

Incoming - Team Frank in shambles

Knox is going to take some time. He could of used 3 or the full 4 years of college. Trier is polished cause of that.
Lets see where the kid is in two seasons. I'm willing to wait. He has some work to do though. Only positive I've seen is he gets to the rim well. I could see why the Knicks are supposedly a bit disappointed. Yes he's young, but we're not seeing a lot of flashes either. KP showed flashes in his rookie season. And he was far from polished. Was weak too. Same for Robinson. I understand both were/are year older (20) as rookies than Knox but both did have/had similar weight issue/lack of experience that Knox has, but flashed more.
Hopefully as the season goes he shows some improvement.

I told you guys man this FO is trash.
Dolan should have just fired mills and hired david Griffin when he had the chance.
Mills has and always will be a cancer to this orginization.

You can tell this is true by the way fizdale is coaching the kid. Its like hes already given up on him.
**** this franchise man.

Knox pick makes zero sense if they weren't ready to give him some time. Wasn't he the most project'ee pick out of our range?
So why the heck they are disappointed he needs some time?
For real, its just looks like its that simple - they like young guys who can already contribute, and don't like ones who are projects, because well.. They have big plans for next season, going win-now mode, and they need everyone to be a positive player.
While again, they themselves picked a project in last years draft.

Never liked Knox in College, hated when we picked him, just never made sense to me.
Frank finally gonna get out of here.
It’s either you have it or you don’t.
If Frank himself isn’t pushing himself to show that he is the best guard on the team, that he’s the best athlete on the team then

He would fit amazing on the Warriors or the Bucks or the Spurs but as far as schematic fit, he does not fit on this team & it is what it is.
The organization clearly see him as a guy that is an awesome defender, a sweet nice kid but this is basketball not smile ball.

Kind of a side note, I’m really curious on the people bemoaning the iso-iso for more team oriented ball & more focus on a play set format.
Are you the same ones who want Durant? Because if you are, you’re going to be extremely disappointed in the case he comes here.

gotta give frank atleast a few years. if the kid finds his jumpshot he's going to be one of the best 3 and d players in the game.

I took the Knox talk as the Ringer guys were disappointed in Knox not that the Knicks were. They made it seem like they didn't really mention him because of their love affair with Trier and Robinson. The Frank stuff doesn't surprise me at all. He didn't make any improvements in the offseason. Why wouldn't they be disappointed in him?

You guys will believe anything you hear. It's easy to look at the team and claim we are high on Trier and Robinson and not on Frank and Knox given the former two are playing well. Hezonja experiment feeling like a disappointment? Shocking revelation. A 5 year old could see that. Why would an organization be down on their recent pick when he's basically played 10 games (after his ankle injury). Now some are upset we took him? The impatience is insane.

I'm skeptical on this reporting. I just don't think it is possible for professional team builders to come to such hard conclusions so quickly.
If you believe it to be true though, then that would also mean that the organization, from top to bottom, is full of sh*t when they say they are focused on development.
There is no separation from those conclusions.

haha, but I am not so sure about this info anyway. How reliable are the sources...
Frank has not shown any growth, so I can understand it for him.
Knox has not really played and been injured, I highly doubt anybody gave up on him or is too disappointed. Really, I think he needs one good game to kickstart himself and shortly eat all Mario's minutes.

The Warriors play team oriented ball and move the ball better then any team in the league...and Durant is on that team
