Fanbase Rookie Approval Rating: Kevin Knox
Hey so I'm embarking on a litte project to compile fanbase approval ratings for the rookies your team drafted (or traded for on Draft night). Very simple poll like a Presidential approval. Use whatever subjective or objective criteria you feel is necessary to decide.
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

Re: Fanbase Rookie Approval Rating: Trae Young
S-G Alexander would have been the right pick but I’m down with Knox’s potential still

I think Trae will be good for the Hawks, should have gone Donc though. I still approve of Trae as a good player though

Re: Fanbase Rookie Approval Rating: Trae Young
My own rankings had Knox around 11-14 in the draft so he wouldn't have been my pick however I can understand the front office somewhat swinging for the fences and if Knox can become a legit 3 level scorer in the mold of a Tobias Harris than the pick will definitely be worth it. So I guess I approve of the pick even if I didnt necessarily agree with it. My pick would have been Miles Bridges in case anyone was wondering.

I’m fine with the pick. I wish we would have tanked harder to get someone in the top 4 but we didn’t so it is what it is. I think he will be a good player

I did not want Trae Young, and I'm glad we didn't move up to get him.

Fine with Knox but I think that’s my own Knicks bias.
I wouldn’t take him over a lot of the guys who went in front of him - specifically Doncic / JJJ.

I read it. He just didn't change the title to include Knox instead of Young.

Mods can you change the title? Obviously this is a copy/paste error.

Re: Fanbase Rookie Approval Rating: Trae Young
if you had asked me 2 weeks ago, disapprove. if you asked me now, still disapprove, but at least trending in the right direction.
honestly, it's undecided because knox has actually played well, but only the last 2 weeks. he played like **** in SL, played like **** in pre-season, played horribly in the first 20 or so games of the season. only his last handful have been decent.
mitch i was most excited about this season, much more so than knox. but he's
too foul prone with low bballiq. but he at least seems like he can learn a bit. he needs to learn not to bite on every shot to go for a block. sometimes, good defense is just keeping your man from the basket, and defending the PnR better.
SGA and mikal bridges would've been better picks at that point.

Trae Young will be a small pube statche reminder that they passed on god king stepback overlord Luca.

I was very intrigued by Young but I don't think he will ever be a good or even decent defender so was glad we passed. I liked Bridges too but, thought he was too small to fully man the 3 which is where I thought Knox would be played. Happy with our pick

There we go...
Anyway, I'd have to say approve. I see the potential. Of the wings - other guys have higher floors but, YOLO.
Though I'm also an SGA guy and would have loved him.
