I wouldn’t take him over a lot of the guys who went in front of him - specifically Doncic / JJJ.

Who got taken ahead of him you can't control. Who would you have taken AFTER him. I was huge on the Bridges. Both.

He asked about approval. If I wanted others who went in front of him, that’s part of my approval of the pick.

I said it was fine. Doesn’t count?

I wasn't being judgemental. I was just curious, was there anybody that you liked better than Knox who was picked after he was . I offered mine. What say you?

Mikal b/c I felt with Frank Dot and KP we could have a killer defense.

MPJ for the upside.

I was fine with the Knox pick though. I wasn’t pro Miles but I feel like I was way off on that now.

I put undecided and rather mirror dakomish. I trusted Knicks FO on this, I was worried about him being raw and poor on defense, but wanted us to go for BPA - even if it took some development - and trusted the FO to make a good choice. Was also intrigued by Mikal Bridges, Porter, Zhaire Smith, and to a lesser degree Lonnie Walker.

Knox is a gunner and needs to pass a little bit more.

Approve! I approved on draft night (Although Mikal was my first choice) and I approve now. I knew before the pick that he would take a while, hell I didn't expect for him to play this much or even get a chance to start. I have patients and I'm willing to wait for the development, I expect struggle, but Knox shows great form, confidence, and he's willing to take the tough shots. I can see him becoming a leader in the future and I feel that with KP, Mitch, Trier, Dotson, and Frank we have a young nucleolus that we can be excited about in the future. He needs to get stronger and develop more moves. He is very skilled and with time he can become a great player.

I want to him at the draft. I knew that he will take years to develop. I see great potential in him. People forget, he really didn't start playing organized basketball until sophomore junior year. He was a football player before. I believe that is lack of aggression is due to him still learning the game of basketball.

Knicks Fans. There are 82 games in a single NBA season. Did the Knicks and other teams even played their 41st game of the season yet? :nonono:

I guess it's my fault for not waiting till Wednesday.

https://nypost.com/2018/12/12/kevin-knox-getting-immediate-reward-for-breakout-game/

It's not a "breakout game" if you shoot **** to get the numbers. 15 rebs are nice tho. That shows hustle, effort, and awareness. Didn't think he had any fire

I didn't like the Knox pick (Bridges or the UK guard better) but he's shown a bit of life lately after ATROCIOUS numbers early. Curious what numbers people would think in 3 years from him would be good - for me a steady 13ppg and 7-8 rebounds with at least a decent D reputation (since he'll have to fight Zion, RJ or Cam for minutes! :D

I dont think he shoots enough. At least for our prized lottery pick on a team so bad. I mean, we celebrate it when Trier does it because half of the joy is the guy wasnt drafted. But when Knox does it, and I dont even think he does it, we say hes a gunner.

As far as I'm concerned he should be setting himself up to be our second best offensive option behind KP. Where he settles amongst KP, THJ, our next lotto pick, a FA remains to be seen. But today he should be one of the best players on the youngest team in the NBA.

Now with that said, shot selection, rushing shots, bash whatever you want but dude needs to be practicing his go to player skills. Also what else does he have if he ain't scoring. I know the answer should be to work on everything else but we gotta be realists too. Hes more on the scoring end of sink or swim.

Disapprove most def. No one had him in the lotto before we checked him out. At the very least we should've traded back to get him instead of picking him 5+ spots early.

EDIT: I do wanna add I said all last year Knox was trash and the 3rd best UK prospect. Looks like I was right, SGA and Hami look way better as pros.

His ability to be the ball handler in pick & roll situations has be excited for his future with KP.
