Trier fires back at Knicks fans in Twitter DMs

The rookie guard slid into one fan's DMs on Twitter after Wednesday's 114-110 loss to the Rockets when that fan joked with another about Trier's lack of defense in the final seconds that allowed Eric Gordon to hit the game-winning three-pointer with just under 10 seconds remaining.
Trier was defending Gordon when he got caught in James Harden's screen and stayed behind the Rockets forward while Gordon remained wide open to seal the game for the Rockets.
The two fans on Twitter laughed about Trier "ducking under that screen" to ensure the loss, but Trier fired back with a direct message.
"It was supposed to be a switch dumb ass," he wrote, which the fan screenshotted and posted to Twitter. "You think I just let n---a walk up and shoot a 3 smh y'all 'fans' don't think."
If Trier is correct, then the blame -- or praise, if you are embracing the tank -- belongs to Tim Hardaway Jr.
Hardaway was defending Harden but never made the switch on the screen, allowing Gordon to take his time to set up and drain the game-winning three-pointer.
Trier certainly did his part the rest of the game to try and get the win for the Knicks, scoring 31 points, including the go-ahead layup shortly before the apparent miscommunication on the defensive side of the ball that allowed the Rockets to get the victory.

Most athletes and celebrities should avoid the twitter drama. Definitely don't show him the stuff here

True, it’s a very low amount of fans on Twitter that are knowledgeable. Most are just trolls that like to get a rise out of athletes and argue all day.

He has a conscience when it comes to winning. Hopefully the fans don't drive him too nuts.

Timmy acts as if he's worth that money. He used to emulate JR...then the shimmy shake during his inconsistent hot streaks...now the 3 to the head Melo shyt he did last night. Yelling at Zo to pass? FOH!

In all fairness to THJ I agree zo should have passed on that play and as I was watching the game I was screaming for him to pass during that fast break
