that's the most important thing. it's fine if the big fish pass, just tank again and keep the cap space open. if you tank long enough, you'll maybe reach a point where you don't need anybody to come. but keep your options open in case they want to.

last time neither was actually a max player. sorry but amare and melo arent cornerstones and never were. they were bad deals. kyrie is on that level, not a true superstar. durant and leonard are on a different level than kyrie believe it or not. thats how good they are. going with kyrie is a repeat of 2010, guys who get maxes but arent true cornerstones

I agree that Melo and Amar'e weren't' at that level, but Kyrie is a better complement for both Durant and Kawhi.

agree to disagree. durant and kawhi have both shown they can play and win in different systems with different players, meaning they can adapt their games. i'd rather have both of them than one of them and a ball dominant pg.

Kyrie never struck me as a Boston Celtic. I don't think he fits the tradition there or what Celtics fans expect from their players. They like him and they respect him because he's an incredible player, but I always felt they would turn their back on him and vice versa at the first sight of trouble. Bill Simmons's tweet said a lot, although he's obviously not representative of the whole fanbase.

Kyrie is averaging a career high in FG%, 3PT%, Assists, Steals & Rebounds all while being 26 and a proven playoff animal. Fans don’t want him because they prefer to suffer?

2) Build a package around Knox, DSJr and picks in the summer for AD (showcase Knox & DSJr for the rest of this season)
3) Tell AD to bring two of his friends. Maybe Durant and Irving. Maybe Kawhi and Kemba.
4) Keep Frank to be the super swiss-army knife role player next to that big 3.
5) Win one or more titles in our lifetimes.

This is exactly what I'm thinking. Except I would include Frank in the AD trade if it came down to it.

I have this feeling that we're going to be trading cap space for draft picks

I said this in the initial trade thread... KD & DJ are extremely tight! I wonder would he (DJ) take lesser to play alongside his buddy? It HAS been done before!!!

Kyrie/DSJ
Barrett/ZO
DJ/MR
KD/Von
Knox/Frank

Wishful thinking I know but that's a good versatile squad

Don’t mind them.

If Kyrie wanna come he can come.

We have his money waiting.
