Isn't Achilles tear one of the worst injuries you can get?

Like, even if he comes back, he'll be a shell of himself. Least he got paid first, but that contract might end up being one of the worst of all time

Cousins doing well with his return from it. But then again Boogie is a big that doesn't rely on athleticism to get his.

As for guards, Chauncey Billups made it back from it.
I'm trying to think of who else, I know Brandon Jennings ruptured his, I just remember reading a list of guys who tore their Achilles, and basically none returned to form

That plus Walls general injury-proneness doesn't inspire confidence in him. Shame too, dude has talent

Probably the worset contract in sports history.
He makes close to and over $40 mil the next 4 seasons. My goodness.

He'll come back in 12 months so not quite the end of the world, but hard to see him maintaining the same level of play. Not super young. Not old. But not a high-quality shooter. Uses his size, strength and explosion quite a bit to put up numbers.

Wall is no Spring chicken anymore... think about it --- he's going to miss like two years and will probably be like 30 when he comes back. I don't know, but as has been pointed out - his deal may go down as the worse contract in history. Depending on how HARD he rehabs (and it's even harder when you're older and no longer a teen or 20 something) seriously - he may be near finished. DAMN!!

Beal has plenty of value around the league, so I expect he'll be moved in the off-season or if they can somehow get a fair deal in the next two days.

Porter has negative trade value because of his contract, so they are better off just riding out his remaining two years while tanking, and then offer to take on other teams' bad deals in exchange for picks.

how?

trade beal/porter for picks and tank the **** out of the next 2 seasons. at this point you have to live with walls terrible contract.

Porter is going to cost them a pick to move. He's been injured all year and regressed. Honestly, if we miss out on KD and Kyrie this would be the deal I could see them making for a future draft pick.

Damn... feel bad for the dude. Game being predicated on speed, he'll never be the same.

Now onto business. Think Pels would have any interest in Beal? If so, think he can be used to acquire AD in a 3 team trade?

He did the honors:

Definitely not a good look at all.

Cousins just came back from his, and our own Wes Matthews went through it.

Kobe, Brandon Jennings, and Rudy Gay all dealt with it.

On the unfortunate side Isiah Thomas had it cause the end of his career.

Yeah, of those 5, really only Gay came back to a similar level as before his injury, Cousins looks fine but it's different for guards I think. Different uses of athleticism and sh*t.

Dude's gonna be taking up half their salary cap in 2023. Jesus.

weird to look at, but they stay commensurate with percentage of cap.

$20m went from max cat to below median over the span of one CBA. hard for a lot of fans to adjust to that.
