Facts. Red Sux hasn't improved anything. They overpaid Evaldi lost Joe Kelly and might lose Kimbrel too. I'm kind of more scared of the Rays then them.

Their bullpen is atrocious right now. Not to mention they're way above the tax threshold which made them a non-factor in FA market after getting Nate, so they had no room to make for relief pitching.

Meanwhile people just wanted the Yankees to throw the world at three players and not improve anything else. We have the best pen in the league.

It's like they want us to keep paying low payroll teams like the Padres & Royals forever.

Exactly, I think were good now, we just need some speed on the bases and hope these guys progress and nobody regress, especially with our pitching. Wishing for full healthy season for Judge, Sanchez, Stanton and everybody.

I'll pay those teams, if 1) the Yankees keep making money and 2) more importantly, if we win chips. Why are you worrying about the Royals and Padres? Why aren't you talking about the Red Sox, the Cubs, the Astros? Upgrading the pitching and the bullpen does not preclude upgrading the offense for the long term with a superstar. The Yankees can and should, based on their market, their revenues and their current roster, do what it takes to win. There is no "either-or" in this case...there was no choice between building up depth and building up star power, there is no cap constraining us. There was the option to improve the pen, sign depth, trade for pitching and sign a top player. As fans, we deserve a team that pays, especially consider the behavior of the Yankees in past years.

In addition, if we win the division, that does not mean that we made the right choice. Hell, when did it become about winning the division or just beating the Red Sox in the regular season? Are we the Orioles all of a sudden? We're the damn Yankees...we win championships (emphasis on the plural) or we bust. Moreover, like I've told many posters, just cause Melo hits one of his "jab-step, jab-step, jab-step" jumpers over three defenders once, doesn't make his decision to take that shot the right choice. It's about the process more than the results, because if the process is generally good, the results will show in the long-term. We might win a championship one of these years...maybe. Maybe we do win a chip with this roster. I don't see a commitment to dominate in the long term.

Stanton and Sanchez are going to have bounce back years. DJ is going to fill in nicely at 2nd or SS. I can see Andujar improving slightly on defense and putting together another solid offensive season.

My only concern for the regular season is 1B.

I don't get how it seems Andujar (23) is underappreciated. He needs to improve defensively - obviously. But some seem to have given up on the idea that he can improve. I like him and expecting a great season

Once Andujar starts being more selective with his pitches, the sky's the limit for him offensively.

Yeah not sure why people think it’s like impossible for him to improve defensively. With his hitting ability he just needs to be average to hopefully slightly above average defensively which I think is doable.
