1 Greek - all around game, team record
2 Curry - he makes the Warriors team go, his value was seen when he was out
3 KD - Can do it all, best scorer in the game
4 Harden - Hate him, but he exploits the new NBA better than anyone
5 LeBron - he is checked out now, but when he efforts .. beware

6/7 Westbrook PG coin flip for who goes where
8 Kawhi - He is this low because the Raps overall are a loaded team
9 Embiid - top 5 points, boards, top 7 blocks.
10 Davis - The contemporary big man.

Now it gets kinda hard for me

11 Jokic best player on the 2nd best team on the league
12 Lillard leads his team to the playoffs every year in the west
13 Kyrie no comment
14 CP3 Still a very valuable floor general

Thats what came to me without going on a stats crawl. Been watching a lot of non-knicks basketball this season and those are the names that jump out to me. third tier is much harder to decide. I wish I could squeeze Lillard in.

Want to ding AD, Kyrie and Lebron down a tier due to the unnecessary drama this year but not gonna do it. And yes Jokic top 5 right now.

I mean ... I made a list which included Oladipo but not KP ... which was pretty meh .. but I felt it better reflected the OP's intent. It's hard answer "are" with KP since he hasn't played in over a year. But it seemed arbitrary to rule out Vic because he was playing much more recently. However, now you hold me to account I should probably scratch out Vic and sub in one of my "missed the cut"s. If the question was "who do you anticipate will be the best players in the NBA in the first half of 2019-2020 season" then KP obviously makes the top 20 at least (for me). Probably Ayton as well. And I don't think I can put in Zion without seeing him in the league, but I'd have to think about it.

[edit] I guess I move up one of Klay, Embiid or Dame to top 10 (mmm? Dame feels a little dirty that high, but maybe?) and then one of Luca, Butler, KAT or Rudy into the top 20.
