Yeah that is super strange. How could he not know hakeem? He has probably heard the name before but doesnt know who he is. I guess maybe it's not weird. do you guys know all the nba superstars that you never saw play?
Look at a roster of the nba all star game from the year you were born and tell me if you actually know the players. Aside from name recognition do you even know what position they played or did you know what team they played for or their playing style? I bet you will not know about 30% of the roster aside from hearing their name before.

Plentyoffish wrote:Robinson has potential to be a very good role player. He can’t create his own shot or shoot, so he’s not going to be a star. I think what limits him in being an elite role player is he doesn’t have the best hands and I’m not sure he’ll be able to put on the necessary weight he needs in order be a adequate post defender/rebounder. That being said he’s a terrific athlete and can be a very valuable player on a winning team.
Money Mitch is a special talent and the world is his if he wants it and so far it seems that he wants it...
LaMelo/Green
Barnes/Jaden
Herbert/Kyle
Jackson/Portis

Re: Official Mitchell Robinson Thread
here's what Hakeem said:
Olajuwon, who works for the Rockets as an adviser/mentor, sat courtside for Friday’s Rockets’ blowout over the Knicks and came away swooning.
“I love his game,” Olajuwon told The Post. “He has a presence in the middle. He can close down the middle with his energy, skill level, how he moves. Not too many players have that impact as a shotblocker. On the court you know he is there. Fantastic player.”
Spoiler:
LaMelo/Green
Barnes/Jaden
Herbert/Kyle
Jackson/Portis
Lopez/Duren

It's impressive but being number 22 on a list of something isn't THAT awesome.
I love Mitch and think he's great but it's starting to get to be a reach with the lists.

It's an all-time stat. Doing a quick search, since blocks have been counted as a stat, there were approximately 120 million rookies in the NBA. 22 out of 345 million is pretty awesome.

He's basically behind only Manute Bol and Marc Eaton and tied with Tree Rollins on # per36 for rookie blocks (given some arbitrary cut-off to remove outliers like Robert Williams for Boston this year). I'm not sure if those should be career role models tho'

Re: Official Mitchell Robinson Thread
For someone who didn't even play college basketball, Robinson has been nothing but impressive this year. He's literally oozing with potential, DPOY candidate in a few years time. Offensively there are a lot of things he needs to work on, needs to learn how to set a damn screen but all in all just WOW. Robinson is going to be a starting center for us for years to come.
If he can be Nuggets Camby for us, that's quite the steal.

Suck my balls ****. I said he's good. Its dredging up more and more obscure stats to tweet about I can do without. Point out his blocks per minute, up in the top 3 etc. That'll be fine.

He's nowhere near as good as Manute Bol was. Bol was a better shooter at this stage as well.
