Unfortunately, nobody on RealGM is quite sure. All we know is Moo stopped posting a little over a year ago. He had told the mod team that he was having health issues shortly before that time but Moo kept his life outside RGM more private than Mags did. Based on what we did know, we tried looking once it seemed like he was gone but we didn't have the personal access to him that would allow us to find out if something happened.

Moo was awesome too. I miss his presence here.

If his twitter handle is the same as his RealGM name (it says RealGM as his location on that Twitter), he was active a few weeks ago there. So hopefully he's okay.

This is devastating. What the hell?
I spent the last 3 weeks at a rehab center. To come back and read this breaks my heart. We lost one of our very own. One of the best and finest.

It‘s been a hell of a ride and I am grateful to have been on the same board as you mags. May your soul rest in peace.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Just now seeing this. Devastating news. Even though I didn't know him personally he always seemed to be such a nice person, easy going and full of joy.

Rest in peace, friend. You shall be missed.

Mags was a bit of a writer. Here is something he wrote:

Rising Sun in sapphire skies

Lighting the cloud tops

Wake me up inside

Evacuate me from lost nights

So many dots rising up

Balloons floating through your seas

Each a soul; a heart; an eternal hope

Navigating us up and away

Beckoning us to better tomorrows

Harkening us; follow us my child

Everything will be alright

Your tears will fall away

Your fears will fade away

Your tomorrows will transcend

The broken hearts will amend

Follow us my child

Everything will be alright

A single balloon among countless

It rises to kiss the Sun

To feel heaven’s sweet embrace

Fellow balloons follow suit

Traversing aerial oceans of love

Carrying them away from hate

Left behind with other worldly desires

In harmonic unison, guided to dreams

Of a beautiful life and infinite joys

Each balloon rises with hope

Shedding never-ending weights of despair

They dream of soaring free

Through sapphire skies of innocence

Through clouds of joy and bliss

Puffing them up to a Sun’s kiss

Its warming rays greeting each balloon

A familiar voice serenades our soul

We have arrived my child

Your chase has ended

Let your air out

Breathe your final

Tomorrow awaits

Everything will be alright

— Dharam Raghubir

P.S. This poem was inspired for a better tomorrow for mankind (the “child”), and each balloon represented their inner best — seeking a home. A home lacking in senseless violence. A greedless and agendaless home. One where hope, joy, and love are home.

Just found out through Howard Mass' signature.

Felt like I grew up seeing Mags on RGM from the start. Totally stunned, R.I.P. brother.

I blame Mags departure on no KD. KD saw that the board lost their captain and figured we were not stable enough for him and his alternate handles.

I always thought of Mags as a healthy, strong, bright guy with a good sense of what's what and great understanding of basketball and people. Until I read everything that was posted after his passing, nothing I saw said otherwise (although a few of you noticed he had some off moments, I hadn't seen those).

He's still a part of this board because the effect he had on us was so much larger than what you'd expect from just one person. I still miss the guy so much.

So sad to hear this news. Mags was a good guy and a great mod.

His patience and steadfastness always amazed me. RIP, Mags, and thanks for watching over us miscreants for as long and as well as you did.

Hey Mags, been thinking about what you'd think of this off season. I miss your posts and insight.

Hopefully one day the Knicks will bring home the championship for you.

He is still a part of this board -- that says a lot about the quality of the man. We lost a very special person.

I just stopped by to pay my respects. I always liked and respected mags. He was funny, smart, a great Knick fan and someone you could always count on to be fair and provide meaningful conversation to this forum. May you Rest In Peace mags.
