costa was shook. maybe too much media attention. since this was the 1st time he really got good exposure.

reminded me of eddie alvarez. both guys looked completely shook and the moment seemed too big. This was too easy for Izzy

I would like to see izzy face jarred if he gets past Whittaker (no easy task), and then should Chimev be fed to like a Brunson at 185 and gets past him wouldnt mind see him face winner of Till Jack for izzy final opponent at 185 before he chases money fights

khabib manager has such a hard on for Conor, he went on a tweet tirade last night..conor really does own real estate in his head...he jealour conor about to get another big payday while no one wants to box khabib. Pac Man and Conor are under the same management team so odds are they will box as even dana said they had something fun planned for Conor early 2021

I'm guessing he came in planning to conserve his energy for the longer run time than he's used to. That combined with Izzy freezing him with low kicks made him look gun shy in the spotlight.

Honestly, it was a masterclass of distance management and timing. I wanna say Costa landed two body kicks (one was a switch kick) before Adesanya started catching and countering them all. Besides that it was all jabs, feints and counters. That slip to the hook that dropped Costa is really picture perfect.

Cannonier next should be a lot of fun to watch. The guy has been overpowering for everyone he's fought at Middleweight and he looks way faster than when he was LHW. It's hard for me to picture him winning outside of the puncher's chance though, I don't think the low kicks he used on Hermansson (and suspect he'll use to slow Whitaker) would be as effective with Style-bender.

Costa also has not faced too many high level guys other than Yoel and to a lessor extent Uriah Hall who has Costa really beat?

Jorge vs. Colby is on the table and has a lot of juice.

Conor definitely talking out his ass and Poirier entertaining it, not knowing where this will go.

If Conor comes through and it actually happens, major props to him.

Dana will definitely be pissed and put a stop to this somehow, which is why I’m skeptical about this.

Question: Is Izzy juicing?

_____________________________________

Interesting dilemma at 170 lbs.:

Khamzat wants to fight Wonderboy.

Wonderboy says, no, I want to fight Leon Edwards.

Leon Edwards says, no, I want to fight Colby.

Nate wants his rematch with Jorge but Jorge wants Colby (who probably wants the Masvidal fight).

I actually think Wonderboy vs Colby is an interesting fight.

Izzy juicing roids story is picking up traction as a result of that pectoral muscle seen in the Costa fight.

Remi, what's the scoop?

My girl Loma’s got a tough test tonight. Some decent fights, especially the women match-ups on this one. Aldana probably gets the next title shot with a win over holm.

We'll see if Holly has anything left. Who you got? Aldana?

I was hoping for Irene to show some new dimensions to help get to her power, but she did nothing and her corner didn't offer much. Holly will chew up plodding fighters until the day she retires. It bothers me a bit how safe she plays it, even though I get it...like Holly was head and shoulders the superior striker in that match and really didn't put the push the advantages. I think she could have had a more emphatic statement basically (the fourth and fifth round should be how she's throwing all fight).

GDR had a dope showing in that we actually saw growth from her ground game. The guillotine was snappy and slick, the almost von flue was even nicer. I think we've got a perfect match made in GDR vs Holm 2 at 135 lbs instead of 145; I'm in the group of fans that has never gotten over GDR's dirty tactics in the first fight (and then she ducked Cyborg).

Kyler Phillips officially jumps on the prospect watch list. I love his pace and thought his Contenders Series fight was a goodie; missed his octagon debut though. This time around, the pace and ability to mix it up everywhere was wild. You don't always see guys mentally defeated after just one round, but it took Phillips five minutes to have a finisher like Else broken.

One of MMA's favorite sons, Carlos Condit got back in the win column and it's a rare time where the whole community is happy about a result. Condit had all his trademarks from the NBK era. Matt Brown already said he'd like a fight with Condit which would be amazing. Nick Diaz for a rematch is floating around but honestly the first fight is among the most boring on either guy's resume. I'd throw Cowboy into the mix.
