Clyde more deserving than Pat. But none of them are really statue worthy, imo.

Clyde is for sure. Idk about Pat. I just cant allow us to embarrass ourselves and legacy by stopping so low as to create statues for non champions. Retire your Jersey? Ok, but cmon. A statue? Weve come to this?

Don't know. We'll have to wait and see. I just found an article saying the contract ends in 2023.

It’s a good location don’t think they would move. Manhattan doesn’t have a ton of available space especially now that Hudson yards is being built. The only place I could see them moving is there to Hudson yards or the current Javitz center.

You’re joking right? Clyde definitely deserves one. Brought us 2 championships and over 2 decades of grade A commentary.

Idk... Not sure if Ewing gets one. If he does he gotta be old like Clyde first.

if knicks are getting statues, patrick is DEFINITELY getting one. bet anything on that. they wouldn't give one to another knick and NOT him.

if the team had to pick one player, it'd be pat. even though other legends like clyde and willis and bradley and debuscherre got championships. patrick is the definitive knick player by pretty much every statistical measure. arguably the greatest NBA player to not get one.

He still deserves a statue though. Who was the best player he played with during his prime? Meanwhile nearly every other contender had a legit number 2 guy. Starks just wasn’t that good.

With all due respect, why would he get a statue? He wasn't as good as the dream and didn't actually accomplish... anything other than playing quite well for a franchise. That's that.

Why should everybody suddenly get statues? It's not for everybody. With Ewing, it was good times, intense play and all that. Ok.

Clyde gets one first but Pat is not “everybody” and wouldn’t mind him getting one either.

Clyde was on a much better team than Patrick. MUCH better.

Patrick used to take a bunch of scrubs deep into the playoffs every year. And yes, a lot of them were scrubs outside of Oakley. They had no business being as competitive as they were in the East and had Jordan not existed, it's conceivable Ewing would've had possibly one title.

Switch Clyde off that team and put him with those Knicks in the 90's and let's see how they fare. I doubt they even make the playoffs.

It's the reason why I rate Ewing the greatest Knick of all time. It's a team sport and this franchise never built around him properly. Walt played with arguably one of the best starting 5 units in the history of the game, especially during that second championship stint when his backcourt mate was another one of the 50 greatest players of all time.

Patrick never played with a player of that ilk. Outside of Starks and Oakley making the AS game I think one season in an outlier year, he played with role players during his entire prime and made them very competitive.

No disrespect to the great Walt, but Patrick was a MUCH more dominant player than him.
