she's steve cohen's friend and talks on his behalf, steve cohen is still much in play in buying the mets.

I listened to a WFAN podcast of Evan speaking to some baseball insider who said that the specter of Steve Cohen lurks heavy on these negotiations even though his name is being discussed as a potential buyer. The feeling is that he can swoop in at any time and simply overwhelm the Wilpons. And he's a lifetime Mets' fan.

It looks like the Wilpons are simply trying to create a market solely for the purpose of getting Cohen to pay more money for SNY-TV.

steve cohen is going to buy the mets, he'll do it for less money, and he'll make sure the wilpons get bent.

this is steve's mouthpiece.

Boomer Esiason ran into Cespedes on the golf course a couple days ago. Lmao. Says he looks great.

Playing that next contract ... if there’s a season.

steve cohen is making a bid in the first round and nobody else comes close to what he'll offer.

so either steve cohen is the new owner of the mets, and next year mookie Betts and jt realmuto are mets -- or jeff screwed up another deal.

laura goldman is actually a legit criminal with a rap sheet, she's insane -- but she's been right.

even the knicks meme account is paying homage to her.

Familia looked good. Alonso looks to have picked right up from last season sans the HR. I would like to see less of Moroff. (Get it? Less of Moroff?) I didn't get the point of playing him. Why not play JD at 3B just to give him more experience there? JD is the third baseman if McNeil plays 2B.

Diaz has to throw more fastballs.

So Now Alex Rodriguez believes that baseball should have a salary cap. Now that’s rich.

not only that but he's out of the bidding and out of spite made all his investors bring up that the mets should sell it to a minority owner even if it's less money.

yesterday there were so many hit pieces on cohen.

J-Rod be out of there minds! (I'm having trouble figuring out the correct verb to go with J-Rod)

Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez are investing in a Viagra-selling wellness startup — and the deal could help enlarge their coffers as they pursue a deal to buy the Mets, sources told The Post.

Hims, an online seller of proprietary hair, skin, and sexual health products to customers on a subscription basis, is in talks to sell itself to a special-purpose acquisition company, or SPAC, in a deal valuing it at $1 billion, Reuters reported this week.

The pair popularly known as J-Rod, meanwhile, inked a deal to be the face of Hims in December 2019.

A source close to the couple confirmed to The Post that J.Lo and A-Rod are also investors in the company, with Lopez signing on to be the face of Hers, a line of products for women.

The famous couple, who “really only do equity deals,” according to the source, believe a successful SPAC sale for Hims could provide them more capital to use in their very public pursuit to buy the New York Mets.

“Based on my understanding, it could be a nice little windfall,” one investor familiar with Hims told The Post. “And it makes sense that A-Rod and J-.Lo are involved with a SPAC. It seems like everyone is.”

According to Reuters, Hims is in the early stages of its sale and is working with investment bank LionTree Advisors to find a SPAC interested in purchasing it at a valuation of $1 billion or more.

SPACs are quickly becoming the financial equivalent of Viagra for companies having a hard time getting their ticker symbol up on an exchange.

The idea is to take the company public in a deal that’s commonly referred to as a blank-check IPO.

That’s possible because SPACs are more or less big reserves of idle cash that an investor takes public and then uses to acquire a private company, sidestepping a conventional IPO process that might have been unworkable for the acquired company.

he actually grew up a huge mets fan.

but I want him nowhere near our ownership...he doesn't have the $$$ to spend.

Steve Cohen is the only option mets fans want. Jeff Wilpon just can't screw this up.

Hes a huge homer for the Yanks since he played here is what I mean. Usually knows a lot of insight from the team.

his salary cap comments didn't go over well with players

he's a pretty solid commentator even though he doesn come off a bit "fake". But he should stick to that.

2007 Mets I'd probably give the nod to over this one. Lo Duca was probably the weakest link in that lineup and he was pretty damn good for a catcher.

On paper this lineup is easily the best one that we've had in quite some time, it'll be real interesting to see if Rosario, Davis and Nimmo can take that next step. Sophomore slump for Alsonso? Does Conforto still have another level he can take his game to? Cespedes and Cano are wildcards, I literally don't even know what to expect from them this year. This lineup should surpass 07 though when its all said and done.
Utah Jazz
Thompson x Plumlee x Birch
Markkanen
Wiggins x Reddish
Beal x Crabbe
Russell x Mills x Mudiay

it will help guys like Stanton and Diaz two guys negatively effected by the fans growns and moans.

Diaz walked Freeman and im sure the fans would have been like here we go again. He can back and struck out the next 2 with filthy pitches.

I think they feel the expectations too much, with boos or cheers. Then they get the he cant play in NY label.
