Only because the team has sucked so badly but he hasn’t done anything to elicit any confidence. His daily lineups are a mess.

huh?

his lineups have been amazing, it's not his fault the team can't hit with the bases loaded every single game.

elicit any confidence? first off how do you know he does nothing? second, 2020 you're not finding a manager that's animated anymore let it go boomer, that's a thing of the past.

i swear if your beef with rojas is putting nimmo 9th then don't even bother posting because that's a perfect spot for someone with a .400 obp when facing lefties.

Says the guy who never even played baseball. You know nothing. He changes them every game. We're 3-7. He's almost as bad a Calloway. But it's okay. BVV and and Rojas will be gone when Cohen buys the team. Then we'll get a real GM and Manager.

And get that vibrating dildo out of your ass you mental midget.

so you say his lineups are bad but can't post why? i mean i already know why, because whatever you post will be dumb.

what's wrong with them? is cano batting too low? what's wrong with his lineup? all he does is swap rosario/nimmo 1/9 depending on if the pitcher is a right or lefty.

alonso, mcneil, conforto, davis, and ramos always bat where they usually are.

so exactly what are all these changes to the lineup? you miss cano batting 3rd?

if it's a lefty, he loads it with righties
if it's a righty, he loads with lefties

so what's the problem with the lineup other than you beeing a boomer and still think your best hitter should hit cleanup because of "rbi's"

Hey Rojas, wake TF up! Time to bring in the bullpen.

60+ pitches in 3 innings :banghead:

That’s horrible management! Where’s the pitching coach?

Love seeing Smith playing awesome, really love the guy. Hopefully if the DH is universal, he'll be here for a long time. Gimenez looks like he'll be taking the job from Rosario one day, perhaps it's time to flirt with Rosario at second to see if he has a better glove there. Peterson has all the makings of a good starter for us, he's already our number two pretty much. In this crazy season, it's nice to see some of the younger guys stepping up.

Dom is Gold Glove level 1B. He has to play 1B and Pete needs to DH.

And Matz sucks.

Dom Smith has alot of the good version of Ryan Howard in him.

Mets have invested so much into Pete (and making him the Face of the Franchise) they won't make him the full time DH but truth is he came into this summer fat and his bat speed is slower this year.

Gonna be a Wright / Reyes thing with these two. One is gonna be the poster child, while the other is low key the better player but WFAN listeners and mets ownership value one thing if all other things are equal ...

It should be an easy decision. Dom is plays 1B and Pete moves to DH. That's what's in the best interest of the Mets. If Pete becomes a sourpuss about it, it'll be very easy to trade him.

1B Dom Smith
2B Jeff McNeil
SS Andres Gimenez
3B JD Davis

That's our best overall infield without sacrificing Pete's bat. Luis Guillorme can be that that backup 2B, SS, and 3B.

Buxton gets paid 2.5 million more, so I think the Coupons say no.
I believe he wasn't educated on the situation. Many people could have been harmed not only financially, physically, emotionally, spiritually. We do have freedom of speech, but there can be a lot of negative that comes with that

That's fair.

What's funny is most Mets fans are saying either:

A-You crazy? Why would you make that trade?

or

B-You crazy? Why would Minny do that?

Mets would probably pass just because Buxton doesn't really offer anything that Marisnick doesn't hypothetically bring. Buxton would fit well with the Mets though, he'd just spend his time here on the IL.

If Andres Gimemez is the SS of the future and JD is firmly entrenched at 3B. 2B should go to McNeil IMO. That leaves Rosario out of the mix. What can we get back if we trade both Rosario and Diaz?

https://www.amazinavenue.com/2020/8/24/21398923/mets-to-resume-play-on-tuesday-covid-19-mlb-marlins-yankees-doubleheader

After four games were cancelled due to two positive COVID-19 tests, the Mets, after two rounds of negative tests, are set to resume play on Tuesday, according to multiple sources. Because of the strangeness of the shortened 2020 schedule, this will necessitate the Mets playing potentially three doubleheaders this week.

The upcoming series at Citi Field against the Marlins is the last meeting of the two National League East clubs, and so Thursday’s missed game will need to be made up with a doubleheader one of these days. Jon Heyman reports that Tuesday ‘looks good’ for playing two.

That leaves three games against the Yankees from this weekend to be rescheduled. According to Joel Sherman, it looks like the Mets and Yankees may play doubleheaders on Friday and Sunday, with a sole, luxurious game on Saturday. The final makeup game will take place on the scheduled off day for both teams on September 3rd.

The Mets, due to HIPAA law, have not disclosed the name of either the staff member or player that tested positive, though it may become clear which player tested positive depending on game usage over the next few days.

Sherman also noted that tomorrow, if all goes according to plan, will be the first time that all 30 teams have played on the same day since July 26.

Update: The Mets make it official, with tomorrow’s first game starting at 5pm.

Obviously Cano is the big question mark. Will there be a universal DH going forward? With McNeil/Smith/Davis ability to play LF I'd imagine some sort of rotation for that position.

The second half last year Rosario was really putting together a nice run, this year he's been pretty bad, but it's hard for me to put a lot of stock into this season for anyone. You'd imagine we'd go after pitching or try to restock pile the farm system, but who knows man. Gimenez glove looks legit, far better than Rosario's, the question is can he hit? What happens when teams actually start to scout him and learn how to pitch to him? It's far too early to be throwing in the towel on Rosario.
