lugo as a starter is no where near the pitcher thor and wheeler is.

there's no reliever on the market/free agent that's as good as lugo.

why do you want the team to be weaker?

why not lock him wheeler to big money, keep noah, and don't do anything?

there's no reliever that's better than lugo, the relief pitcher. that's what i'm saying. he sucks as a starter, he gets hit 3rd time around. he's also pitcing with a partially torn ucl, why risk it more with him throwing 100+ and 5th day?

wheeler can get whatever he wants, he's a 29 year old with a live arm that's figured it out.

There's no way we're spending to keep Wheeler.
I do believe that Noah will be moved just based on his attitude alone.
Lugo should stay in the pen.
There have to be some decent arms out there somewhere for middle relief.
And we have to fix Diaz. Maybe Pedro can fix him?

there’s no starters as good as thor and/or wheeler

whoever they get will be a downgrade.

Think about this for a moment. Do you guys realize that the Mets had not produce 1 single starting pitcher outside of our Big 4? Basically for 3-4 years the Mets farm system couldn't produce jacksh.it. We had 3-4 years of cheap salary on our books and now we're on our way to pay our rotation because we have no backup system.

Not to worry. We’ll trade Thor for some minor league pitching and Wheeler will sign with the Astros or the Yankees

its a really bad deal...considering we have an all-star in mcneil at 2B. That huge contract could have went to go after Rendon would would be perfect on this roster.

Could you imagine not spending having Cano contract and going into next year with.

Our only shot at ridding ourselves of Cano is for him to get off to a wicked good start next season and for us to eat a large portion of his contract in a trade at the deadline.

I think a big question is what do we do with Dom, He is definitely a starting caliber player who we need to find a position for.

I'm really anti-DH, but maybe getting a DH slot might be the only thing that makes Cano somewhat bearable.

Btw, guys, what's your opinion on the NL getting a DH?

He'll probably be in a trade of some kind. If we package him with Noah, we should get something sweet back.
