Official 2020 Mets Thread, p. 50

Continuing from p. 336,

From Manhattan Project:

I mean if Toronto beats them, we win that WS. KC was just built to beat us.

This year has been underwhelming to say the least, but Alonso has been a joy to watch. With most of this team being underwhelming, he's been a breath of fresh air.

I know ... and so is deGrom, etc. etc. ... but we're not winning. Our organization needs to move this stellar minor leaguers along. We have to stop making stupid signings which cause us then to make stupid trades to fix those mistakes.

Anyhow, great news for Mets' fans today. Noah pitched like 2016 again. And Ol' Uncle Toddfather proving everyone wrong and that his veteran leadership and good fielding are more valuable to us than we may have realized.

Our is bigger.

Seriously, they're usually locked at around 100 pages at which time a mod locks that one up and starts p. 2. We're only 236 pages late. Blame Stannis.

anthony kay got promoted to AAA!!

also the guy harthorne laughed at the idea of making the majors this year because he started the year in single A, also got promoted to AAA

it won't be long until he's in the majors, he throws in the high 90's and has 44 k's in 29.1 innings (13.5 k/9)

I think I laughed at Peterson getting promoted to the majors but if it was Kay, no problem. I laughed because this organization NEVER does that. How long was he in AA for?

As I recall, you were the one talking up David Peterson. I preferred Kay.

dont think wheeler will ever put it together for an entire season. He was always the one I wanted to trade off

Sad that I’m getting more confidence in Vargas than in wheeler

lolwut?

did you just catch this start and missed his last 40?

the thing that's sad is the mets won't re-sign wheeler who's real good.

lol is he not allowed a bad start?

he had a 3.8 era his previous 11 starts, now that's not great but it's closer to what wheeler truly is and not the "5 era".

gilliam's first appearance in triple a 1.2 innings with 2 k's.

kid only has 37 career games to this day and he might make his debut in the next month or two.
