Make smaller and smarter moves like signing Malcome Brogdan. He's 6'5", plays defense, can hit the 3, moves the ball, and is steady. I would be nice to have someone to run the offense who knows how to run an offense.

Slow and steady wins the day.

No! haven't you been on this board before?

You need superstars at positions 1-5, and then your 6th, 7th, and 8th man need to be max out players too!

you can't win a championship without maxing out your waterboy either! haven't you been reading some posters on here?!

We already are like Cleveland and Phoenix

Phoenix is way ahead of us on young talented players......way way ahead.

Name me one player who came back from an Achilles surgery at the age of 32.

Kobe Bryant, Dominique Wilkins

Lots of players "came back" but Dominique is the only one who even put up more or less the same stats (broadly speaking). Kobe didn't - that's the point.

KD injury will force Perry to trade for AD in hopes of luring Kawhi or Kyrie.

Book it

EDIT: Really I have zero idea but there are some signs that it’s not a full tear — otherwise surgery is required and there wouldn’t be back and forth.

Maybe if he ices for the next couple of days he can make it back for game 6.

Draft Barrett

Dsj
D’lo
Barret
Knox
Mitch

Yuck. Brogdon's going to cost 20 mil and take away from a chance to grab a real star. Maybe Barrett becomes one, but then we've just created a logjam. Brogdon looks good next to a star, but on our team he'd look like Shannon Anderson.

Lots of players came back at or after the age of 32? That was the question and Kobe was 34 and already slowing down somewhat.

I'd take Russell over signing KD to play 50 games a season after missing next season to end up like Joe Ingles.

So why would we tank again? So we could keep being like them? They don't have a chance at any of the impact guys, but we most certainly do.

I know many on here aren't with it but i'm down with signing Dlo but he's my starting PG and DSJ either gets traded or plays backup to Dlo.

I could care less about next year creating a sense of urgency this year. That to me is a bass ackwards way of looking at the situation.

The goal should always be building a sustainable organization that remains competitive long-term and at some point is in the finals.

So is that going to happen in one big off-season? Nah.

So I could care less about going on a spending spree now. This takes years and we're really only in year 2 of a 5 year process, but the way some look at this is we are now in an all or nothing this off-season which is a terrible mindset to cultivate either as a fan or as an organization. It is completely untrue.

Yeah, but Kobe's numbers were terrible post Achilles. The numbers for players post Achilles are turrible.

stop with this d'lo stuff, please lord. a bunch of youth in and of itself is meaningless. they're good as assets when they're on rookie deals. once you pay them, they're not so good anymore. what you want is one of the best players in the league. that's it. you can either draft him or sign/trade for him. how you get him is not really important, the important thing is to get him. d'lo doesn't help any of that. he's a good, not great player, who you have to overpay to get. he takes up cap space and doesn't help you reach that goal.
