As said before. Scott Perry has not done anything stupid since he got here. That includes not taking on deals that went passed this year since the Melo trade. Put some respek on his name.

Don't trade Trier. He's an incredible offensive talent and is so athletic.

The Knicks currently plan to waive Thomas ahead of the guarantee date, per SNY sources.

But the club has interest in bringing the veteran back as a free agent, sources say. Thomas' leadership and professionalism is held in high regard in the organization and he is respected for his mentorship to younger players.

2019 ($7.5m) non-guaranteed, $1m guaranteed if not waived on or before 6/30/19

I think this was inevitable. Are they really going to offer him the vet-min? $4.76 under the room MLE? Or is the plan to give him a new contract if they don't sign Durant + a 30%-FA? Looks like they are looking to cut hiis pay any way around.

So you telling me best case Scenario A is better than best case Scenario B (see spoiler)?

Spoiler:
SCENARIO A
• 2 healthy maxes win a ring in 2019-20

Spoiler:
SCENARIO B

• 2 redshirt maxes (or 1 redshirt and 1 max - or rolled over cap) appear in 2019-20 lottery then come back with 2 healthy maxes + Wiseman to win a ring in 2020-21. Then as those maxes fade, Wiseman, RJ, and Mitch carry on the torch

We aren't getting Wiseman. If all this is for Wiseman, it's not much of a guarantee. Plus the red shirt max guy will never be the same again. The healthy Durant is a better player.

we could get him. we got RJ who was considered the wiseman of the draft about this time last year

I want another top 10 pick. preferably top 5 but I'll take whatever

LOL no idea -- but for the right player, I'd trade Trier AND drive him to the airport.

He hasn’t done anything great either the jury is still out.

Let’s see what he does this summer

Randle is one of those signings I wouldn’t mind but I would have wanted him more if we still had KP.

Not confident of his fit alongside Mitch, RJ and DSJ. We would need a stretch 4 in that lineup.

Drafting Mitchell Robinson seems pretty great.

I think clearing cap space for 2 max contracts while clearing bad contracts from our books when it looked nearly impossible would probably qualify.
