Overrated how? Most on the board didn't even care whether he played or not. And plenty have tossed him to the trash heap after we drafted RJ.

He’s a good shooter who doesn’t need the ball in his hands and plays adequate to good D. 3&D SGs next to a score first PG makes sense. He at the minimum should be a lock for 20 mins and in the every game rotation

The majority of this board believes he's a starting level sg wch is blasphemous.

He put up numbers on a bad team last season. Nothing more nothing less.

He's a 12th man at best.

The first line def doesn’t seem true. He’s a staring level SG that people are throwing on the trash heap for a bench vet in Ellington??

He put up numbers when given the opportunity. The goal is to find out if he’s a looter in a riot or if it’s for real. You know how you don’t find that out?

Making him the 12th man so a vet who won’t be here in the future plays over him.

At some point we’ll break the cycle of sacrificing development for hopeful short term gains

I don’t care ... I miss Melo, faults and all. Glad he’s trading Randle. Knox should be there too though

He is actually overrated on that end. This is from March
On the defensive end for Morris, it is unfortunately much of the same if not worse than his shooting numbers. This season, Morris has a defensive rating of 106.6 which is nothing impressive, but it was more about his hustle and intensity which meant more to the team.

These last 15 games, there has been an absence of that from him while his rating ballooned up to a 109.5. Also, the Celtics’ defense is -5.8 points worse with Morris on the floor this season. Morris has become a general liability on that side of the court making it hard for Stevens to keep him on the floor for the stretches of most importance

The roster is full. We aren’t signing Melo.
