A bit of a risk though. This is his final year of his contract.

Jackrabbit in a big trade? No one is taking Solder and that albatross.

It won't be Solder. He's awful, but we can't afford to lose him.

Jackrabbit makes sense, since Beal is coming back.

IDG why Gettleman gave him that money. Dude is a step slow against fast edge rushers.
We were desperate.

Still are.

I still don't get it though, even if another shoe drops... aka they get a 3rd for Janoris or Solder, it's still wasting a 3rd and a 5th (or 4th) on a redundant position. You're not stopping the run or rushing the passer significantly better with Leonard over BJ Hill, are you? We still need LBs and Edge rushers for that... which we don't have.

Gettleman just gave up what's likely to be a top 10 3rd round pick as well as a top 10 5th (or 4th) rounder. I know if Leonard walks in free agency we'd probably get a comp pick, but that's going to be at the end of the round, in 2021. We could certainly use a high 3rd round pick in 2020. Roster has too many holes and DT isn't one of them.

I don't think that is true.

The speculation is that we are trading the comp 3rd we're getting for Landon Collins and the 4th/5th pick is not this year

I wonder if this move makes Tomlinson available for trade as well. He's solid, but Dexter Lawrence does more than him and I think having him in the middle with Hill (granted has been kind of a down yr for him) and Williams on the sides of him could he a really young and talented DL.

Jackrabbit, Solder (although sketched out what we would do at LT for the remainder of the season), and Olgetree should honestly probably all be traded

Not sure what to think but at least we want to get pressure. Team is a defense and a left tackle away.

I wouldn't mind two new tackles next year. Remmers hasn't been bad by any means though. Good news is we have a good amount of young talented players on offense and defense, will be picking high in the draft again (where Gettleman has actually done well), and we have a ton of cap next year.

Talented DL, Connely back next year, hopefully the young CB's continue to improve, Peppers has flashed as a playmaker, etc. They have some pieces on D and should definitely get some upgrades for next year

10 wins hopefully with massive upgrades. Defense cant stop anybody on 3rd and long.

Yeah, Grant Haley gets murdered in the slot 75% of 3rd downs. I'd honestly try someone else there whether it's Ballentine, Love, or even Beal when he returns. Haley tackles well that's about it. Bethea is also awful back at FS. Add that with inconsistent pass rush and you have a disaster. I'd absolutely love to be bad enough to get Chase Young out of Ohio State, especially watching Bosa destroy games for SF.

How is that even possible? We don't have it yet. How can we include it in this trade?

Man both NY football teams are sad. They might as well both tank at this point. And where is the Jets board? Is there not enough Jets fans here?
