As a die hard Titan fan, I’m sorry to my fellow Knicks/Giant fans. He’s not good. $13M is an absolute joke.

Great job by Gettleman in addressing so many key needs in free agency. Opens up a lot of options with the draft.

Maybe go for Slater with the 11th pick? The O-line seems like our biggest remaining source of uncertainty (along with whether DJ is truly a franchise guy).

seems like most disagree with you. He played through injury last year.

rates 4th best CB in the last 4 years in the entire NFL.

I think the contract is a little more expensive than I would have anticipated, but you rarely see a CB of Jackson's caliber hit the market at 25. I don't mind striking while the iron is hot and trusting to figure it out as you go. Same with Golladay. We are paying these guys for prime years and taking advantage of a market that would normally be so much more competitive for their services.

We essentially traded Tomlinson and Zeitler for Golladay, Jackson and Rudolph.

Kevin Abrams has been an absolute wizard this offseason.

its a depressed market due to covid and the cap going down. So teams needed to clear up future cap and its probably the only reason Golladay or Jackson even hit the open market.

Also they probably could have spent less $$$ for shorter contracts but the Giants seemed to have paid up this year for control when the cap in theory explodes over the next 2 years (with the new TV deal in place). So in a year or two these deals for top WR or top CB will be way above the golladay + jackson market.

So its kinda an overpay in year 1 (which they managed by the maneuvering of the signing bonus) to than have good young controllable players to grow with the core for future years while they have a rookie QB salary.

The best chance to compete in the NFL is when you still have a QB on a rookie salary.

The two concerns I have about the roster still are OL and edge. But the rest of the roster is pretty strong.

to add to that the giants could have signed both to prove it 1 year deals...but if they played well they would have made a ton more next year with the CAP going up. So they took calculated risk and overpaid a little now on guys that want to build with the core for hopefully getting a bargain on there deals down the road and lock them up for the next 3 years.

Remember, he was the CB1 with the Titans. Jackson will be our CB2. Less pressure to go against the premier receivers. That should be big for him.

Malcolm Butler was clearly the best CB for the Titans the last two seasons.

last year absolutely but Jackson was dealing with an injury all season and barely played.

Jackson was one of the best corners in the NFL from 2017-2019 seasons.

If he's healthy he is a really talented corner. There was a reason the Titans had him shadow the best WR's for most of his career in Tennessee.

Correct he is one of the few CB's that can even try and stick with guys like Tyreke Hill who are human joysticks.

Bradberry is the big physical corner...Jackson is the smaller speed guy. Its a great combo.

Jackson rarely gets beat deep at all by all the stats. It would free up Graham to be a little more aggressive blitzing knowing he has two trustworthy guys on the back end.

Shadowing the other teams best WRs? That never happened. I just don’t want you guys to get your hopes up. I’ve watch every single game of Adorees career. I hope I’m wrong and he turns it around for you

Reports in TN that he didn’t rehab as hard as they wanted and he should have been back to game action much Sooner. They werent happy with his work ethic either.

are you suggesting he wasn't a really good corner his first 3 years in the NFL? He only has played 4 years in the NFL.

I'm trying to understand what you mean by turns it around like his career was going south. He had a poor year kicked off by an injury. He was a really good corner when he was drafted and his 1st 3 years in the NFL.

He is also 25 years old.

He started off looking good the first few seasons yes. 2019 towards the middle of the season it started to fall apart for him.
