I don't think it makes sense to swap Jones in until after we play the Patriots.

The powers that be owe it to Eli to let him get some games in with Shepherd and Tate.

Shepard and Tate aren't going to do much to change the end result imo. I don't even blame Eli. The biggest issue is the defense. I want Jones to play as many games as possible. Suppose he's a bust. We need to find that out as soon as possible if he's the answer.

I don't think anyone running the Giants is going to declare DJ a bust after 1 year or draft another QB. Mara would have to clean house again before the draft for that to happen.

I'm not all that optimistic, but the next 2 games are winnable. If we at least split, then I don't think we see DJ until we play the Lions, at the earliest.

I'd be shocked if they put Jones in at Foxborough as a rookie.

God has answered my prayers. Thank God!!! The team may rally. They knew Eli starting was not doing the best to win.

For an organization that has been as conservative as the Giants over the years, this is genuinely surprising and exciting.

I really feel for Eli, but it is what it is. This team is built on the youth now.

No one believed in Eli. Look how much excitement they had for Danny in preseason. They know he can make things happen. Watching all these QB's extend plays while Eli just throws 5 yards and cant create. Its over.

My heart aches even though I was calling for a change. Eli is one of my all-time favorite players. He is the epitome of what a class act, professional and role model should be. Words cannot begin to say how thankful I am as a fan for that iron man streak, the 2 Super Bowls and those 16 years.

This season has been pretty unwatchable for me, our defense makes everything seem hopeless. No pressure, no secondary to compensate, no LB presence ... nothing. We are a major, major project at work right now.

Long live Eli though, 2 SBs vs. the Patriots is a lifetime achievement. The guy deserves a break after the years he's put up with 0 protection and hardly any reliable running game to support him.

Sure, but I still feel for Eli. This is a bad way to go out.

giants fault for delaying it he should've been moved on or the start to move on from him back in the 2015 season.

i was afraid jones would only start half a season but getting 14 starts is a lot and needed for the rookie to head into next year knowing what to expect.

now next year draft just go DE/WR/DE/WR/DE/WR

We're still going to lose a ton of games. Might as well lose with DB at the helm. It makes no sense to stick with Eli, when we could get meaningful snaps and experience for our rookie QB.

Hopefully Jones keeps this up. If he can keep his head against one of the more exotic defenses he'll see all year, that's a fantastic sign.
